C'mon...there's nothing better than pinching a crusty snot-flake from the front of your nostril...slowly pulling it out...and finding it's connected to a whole string of semi-gelatinous goo you pull out from deep inside your snoz.

Admit it...AWESOME experience...amiright?

Like the white sticky rubbery strings in allergy season that feel like they are attached somewhere between your eyeballs, and it just keep on coming? Like the relieve you feel when you finally take off your hot shoes and socks after a long, hard day....

As you can see, no one here is admitting to anything.

It is so strange that the first line of defense of our immune system is the creation of mucous. The first thing people do when they have symptoms of a disease is take anti-mucousal meds, antihistamines, and stuff that stops them from caughing up the crap in their lungs...basically they are dampening their immune system before they go to work or out anywhere.

I did learn the hard way that sometimes you have to take something that blocks severe coughs from popping your ribs out of socket...The resulting sore back for a month is really bad. I have not figured out an anti-spasmonic natural remedy yet but use the special cough syrup sparingly that has that quality.

I only use steam with oils, never coughing meds...

My grandmother had this small bottle with oil, she used to buy it from an Asian man that lived down the street. On the bottle it said 'Po-Ho oil'. Every time someone had a cold or a cough she would boil water, put 3 drops in it and let us breath in the steam with a towel over our heads. It seemed like a miracle cure.
So after the Asian man died we searched for years to find it but no one seemed to know what it was.
Only recently I asked about it in a nature shop in town and the woman said she would ask around. Next time I got there she had a bottle for me, the label read 'polar bear oil'. She told me that Po Ho was Chinese for Eucalyptus (I think it was Chinese)
So all these years we thought we had a miracle oil and it was just plain Eucalyptus oil. But it does work and relieves symptoms. I'm back to using it, so is my husband, last time he had a cough he bruised a couple of ribs....

See...You GET IT.
The others know too.

One of life's little disgusting pleasures.

It takes a little getting used to, but the health benefits are well worth it.
