The ghoulish battle over which political side to blame the Highland Park shooting on has begun, with some claiming he is a Trump supporter and others pointing to the gunman’s anti-Trump sentiment expressed online.

Goulish indeed.

Many have quite a bit of shame to deal with as we start to unravel the mental state of this very troubled young man. I expect this kind of stuff on Twitter and Reddit, but ATS is supposed to deny ignorance. People who I spar with, but typically respect dove right into the mud head first hoping to score a goal against team blue or team red.

To me, this is indicative of just how far we've fallen as a nation. We are no longer one people under God and we are certainly not indivisible. So eager to cast the blame of this insanity on each other that we don't even bother placing the blame where it actually belongs. It just isn't convenient for us to do so. There's an election coming, after all.

To say I'm disgusted is an understatement. Even people who agreed with my sentiment in other threads jumped into the cesspool and waded knee deep in it like they had a vested interest in the politics of the shooter, looking for any modicum of evidence to beat their fellow Americans over the head with.

Meanwhile Americans lay dead in the streets on our Independence Day and no consideration was ever given to them. The blood hadn't dried, the bodies still warm, the shock on the faces of families still had not faded into sadness and mourning before the political opportunism took hold.

Goulish American political madness indeed.

Politics & religion cause some people to act in extreme ways based on their taught beliefs.
I can guarantee that Crimo was politically motivated from one side or the other, and making sure he is not involved in a bigger group of radicals is police science 101 .

Plus, we have had the mainstream media and a majority of democrat leaders demonizing "certain people" and even calling for the murder of their political opponents...

There is a correlation between far left politics and mental illness. That has been shown in a couple of studies. But we can't put the cart before the horse here. It isn't far left politics that are causing the mental illness. The mental illness is already there.

Why does it have to be one comes first than the other?

Left-wing belief itself devalues human life. Left-wing belief itself puts "the environment and Earth first and the death of human lives as a necessity to "save the environment/Earth."

Notice I showed various of these mass shooters all said "they murdered people to SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT/EARTH."

They also mention either a hate for firearms, despite using firearms, or wanting firearms banned altogether. And when they wrote about "losing a right to firearms" they mention OTHERS losing that right, not them.

I used characteristics/fetishes I saw this latest mass murdered showed/shows which all lead to his view. including him "having a gender fluid belief' which the mass murderer reflects in the way he dresses, and the way he dyes his hair.

In fact, these characteristics/fetishes i pointed out used to be part of law enforcement agencies profiling criminals. Which is what i did.

Unlike some other people in here, not saying you, I abhor all murder. Including murders with other weapons, including vehicles and murders with white weapons, which far outweight murders with firearms when put together.

To me a mass murderer using his vehicle, or someone else's vehicle, to murder is as bad as a mass murderer using firearms.

But the people who really have an ax to grind pushing their ideological policies which aim at disarming law abiding Americans resort to blaming those who are not at fault for these crimes.

They blame law abiding Americans, our second amendment right, a lax of gun control laws when we have well over 20,000 state and federal gun control laws. Not counting city and county gun control laws.

These same people ignore what the mass murderers themselves state are their reasons for their mass murders. The mainstream media, and after Obama's changes in law enforcement policies, the real cause for these mass murders are being ignored.

No I do not believe you like what happened and I wouldn't accuse you of that.

But you are using it. So are many others across the political divide.

Now, if there's a political motive to this and it's not totally fabricated we can discuss that.

But the fact seems to be that this kid was a nutjob who at most was motivated by the insanity he suffered from and enabled by his #ty parents.

When there's concrete evidence that this was politically motivated then I will be happy to hash that out.

It's not my job to figure out what someone's Motivation is.

The news gets it wrong half of the time because they speculate.

If you care more about his motivation than the people who died, I have to wonder about your sanity.

There's a fund set up for Aiden McCarthy who was orphaned by the shooter.

First of all, hours before I posted that thread democrat leaders, the left and mainstream media were all once again claiming this is happening because of lax gun laws, because the Second amendment, and how easy it is to get firearms.

They left out the fact that this mass murderer is 20 years old, and there is already a law in Chicago that only allows people of 21 years of age or older to buy firearms. Chicago also has a "red flag" law which is supposed to catch "would be criminals with mental illness" but he was overlooked.

Can't you see what is happening all over the U.S.? Meanwhile the left/democrats are "defunding the police" want to disarm law abiding Americans and even go after Americans who defend themselves against criminals, like Jose alba, they keep using every murder and mass murder to implement their disarmament of the U.S.

The drastic policies democrats/the left want for the U.S. and are working hard on implementing will convert the U.S. into another Venezuela.

In Venezuela Chavez and Maduro disarmed the regular people and armed the Chavistas who would shoot at and murder their political opponents.

We have been seeing DEMOCRAT LEADERS defend hard core criminals while going after law abiding Americans that have attempted to defend themselves.

These massive and drastic changes DEMOCRATS/the left have in mind will cause chaos, more violence, and more death. If we allow democrats/the left to disarm us, we won't be able to defend ourselves at all.

Remember that Chavez also implemented various "rationing to fight climate change", including their power grid, which led to massive black outs in which people lost food, people died at hospitals for not having power and Venezuela became the sh1thole we now know.

This is what democrats/the left will do to the U.S. If we are disarmed there will be nothing we can do to stop them and their murderous "Green New Deal" and other drastic policies they want to implement.

We have also seen that during the RIOTS/SUMMER OF LOVE democrat cities armed criminals from Antifa, BLM, etc with hundreds of bricks paid by the tax payer.

After all, they have been defending criminals, bailing them out, and in many instances even having criminals not have to pay bail and have provided criminals with bricks to attack police with and destroy property. Meanwhile, these same criminal democrats/the left have been going after law-abiding Americans who have attempted to defend themselves.

It isn't my fault if my profiling of the criminal was correct, and if the large majority of mass murderers happen to be leftists who share many of the views and beliefs shared by most leftists even on ATS.
