Why are they bothering mentioning it if everyone got off safe.
The Ukrainian army’s rarest artillery played a pivotal role in finally driving Russian troops off strategic Snake Island in the western Black Sea.
Official video from the defense ministry in Kyiv depicts the 2S22 truck-mounted howitzer—only one of which is known to exist—firing on Russian forces on the tiny island 80 miles south of Ukraine’s strategic port, Odesa.

Ukraine’s Weirdest Howitzer Drove Russian Troops Off Snake Island
On June 30, as a goodwill gesture, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation finished fulfilling the assigned tasks in Snake Island and withdrew the garrison that had been operating there.
The Russian Federation has demonstrated to the international society the absence of any obstacles for the efforts of UN to establish a humanitarian corridor for transporting agricultural products from Ukraine.
This solution will prevent Kiev from speculating on an impending grocery crisis citing the inability to export grain due to total control of the northwestern part of the Black Sea by Russia.
Now it is up to the Ukrainian side that is still not clearing the Black Sea coastline, including the harbour waters.
By the way, what about the export of grain by Ukraine by sea?

of course they finished fulfilling the assigned tasks, right when the howitzer was zeroing in on their positions.

why tell the truth when a lie will do, never mind how foolish and stupid they look.
By the way, what about the export of grain by Ukraine by sea?

Awesome.
Karma
No one died, meaning no widows get payouts.
And also losing snake island back to Ukraine.
More good news.
Sadly, the actual gesture from Putin was to kill more civilians in their homes. A tantrum.
So now Ukraine has the ability to send grain by sea.

Whoever occupies Snake Island is going to be a sitting duck,
It doesn’t matter which side you are on.
