Why don't the West Coast mayors clean up their towns/cities instead of letting things get worse?

Maybe some politicians themselves who keep advocating certain polices should the cities that they run or supposedly live in some areas.

Sorry, but if that's what it leads to - rampant homelessness, dirty needles everywhere, crime, trash on the streets and crap to dodge along with shanty towns like every other third world nation - then I don't want to emulated West Coast culture. It seems to be even more backward than anything you think about those of us out in the flyover country.

I live in Portlandistan.

It's a cesspool of leftist dreams.

The cops arrest Antifa and BLM punks and the DA releases them right after.

Drugs are practically legal here.

Portland's more central than west coast -- for me.

Every state/country has these areas. The difference with Portland is it got sensationalized through the media. Major cities tend to be more visual then outer areas.

And just so you know -- I do not condone rude/obnoxious/destructive behavior in public.

Homeless (for whatever reason) have to go somewhere. I support Pod/Capsule type housing. No frills. Place to sleep, personal locker, shower. A lobby with free breakfast, place to receive mail, banking, bill paying service, and counseling.

Not OK? There's lots of desert for a tent city.
