There are ONLY 3, maybe 4 genders, but there are multiple types of sexual identies.

Okay, this is probably very controversial to some, but I maintain that there are only 3, maybe 4 genders possible.
That being, 1) male, 2) female, 3) inter-sex (mix) and 4) none or a-sexual. Those being gender which by common usage refers to ones sex. But recent usage has redefined gender to means ones sexual orientation. I still think of it as it's older usage. And that you have your biological sex gender, but may have a different sexual orientation(s).

I also think it's crazy how many, (I've lost count) different types labels for "gender/sexual orientation" there are now (LGBTQ+++++...).

I don't have a problem with being gay/lesbian/tran/etc. I just think that; one, there are only a few (4 real biological genders/sexes), and two that that there are too many labels to keep up with, and finally three that I don't need to know your sexual orientation. Keep that info. generally to yourself unless you're trying to pick me up or something. I have many friends that cover the sexual spectrum. I don't care. My biggest problem is with people trying to push their head trip onto others. I'm just sounding off here, so you can ignore it if you want or flame away. (not meant as a gay pun).

If I offended anyone, I apologize. I just think this whole thing is getting out of hand, and you don't need to announce to everyone your sexual orientation unless you intend on dating them. Going to a pride parade may be a little different than going up to a group and making an announcement...after it's known you've come out. For example, coming over to dinner with friends and announcing your gay. Who cares, it's not germane to anything going on, and just made things a little awkward. Plus most everyone already knew.

Male and female, that’s it. Period.

Just ranting...too many LGBTQ+ whatever going on to keep up with. Plus I'm not really down with the bad grammar created by the plural forms being used to refer to individuals. We've bastardized our language enough as it is.

We are so firmly headed down the road to "Idiocracy," that it's not even funny anymore. But that's more related to other issues with our education system, and other social issue as well.

Did you know that inter-sex, or ambiguous sex individuals are about the same percentage as that of red-heads in society...approx. 2%. At least that's what I remember reading. It may be a moving target though, as chemicals in our environment affect gender/sex expression of a fetus.

I agree that your genes will tell what you are intended to be biologically. Either XY=boy or XX=girl. But when express physically, there might be a problem. That's why we get the mix-ups and inter-sex types. Usually the problem seems to be in the software, not the hardware. But if you're in that 2%, then you have a problem with the hardware.

To be fair, if you give it a nature vs nurture year and look at some of the insane BS children are exposed to (school, social media, TikTok,MSM) plus the toxic food chain...

The west is set up to fail.

Yeah, given what's going on in the educational system, and at our schools; I don't hold much hope for our future. Also given other factors going on we're facing a combination of "Children of Men" and "Idiocracy." Not a promising combination.

Only a matter of time before some real, brutal pushback happens.
You can only do so much to a kid before the parents react....

That being said, we are all different, if that’s a persons head is then not for me to interfere
I am a handyman and for some strange reason, do a lot of work for the gay community, always been nice, friendly, community minded and fair to me
No issues, no qualms, not my position to be didactic but can understand the “flaming” with all the outspoken messaging people are being forced to listen to from the lgbtq...
It’s like the gay community have become the “Christians”, for forcing their values on others, constantly

I'll buy that...but some choose that identity they will argue. Then others will say it wasn't a choice, I was born this way, but my "hardware" was wrong. With some you just can't win. But I like your statement about building your identity around your achievements.

I'm proud of the fact I don't need the government and corporations validating my sexuality. I don't need stickers or logos.

Their pandering is offensive to me. They can't even be bothered to distinguish between them. It's just people that are different clustered together like this monolithic entity. Giving people labels and putting them with others who are different isn't supporting them, it's putting enough of them together to make a voting block.

There was a time when pride wasn't co-opted for marketing. Now it should be called corporate shame month. People deserve better than their dehumanizing "support".

The 2% refers to rare individuals who are XXX or XXY and a few other genetic cases where both sex organs are expressed rather than the usual one. These anomalies can't help but throw a wrench into the works in terms of identity but it's a bit unfair to call it mental illness any more than red hair is.

I do think the whole thing has gone too far though beyond simple acceptance of people's differences as now we are being forced to bow down to it. Have an elderly gay buddy, in his early eighties, who goes on about how ridiculous the lgbtzx and so on is as he can't keep up either. It's a modern problem that shouldn't be, especially the school/drag show for kids part.
