What can you whip up for us to enjoy?

Ok, I thought I was done with so few days left in this incredible contest.

Then I read JohnnyAnonymous's "For Fun" entry and it inspired me to do just one last story.

So, here is SAVVY Gorilla

There have been so many submissions that it's been difficult to keep up. I hope I've read everything, commented and boosted self esteem where possible. Writing isn't easy, especially with limitations and it takes guts to showcase your work if you're not used to contest (which I don't partake of outside of ATS). So, applause to both seasoned and newbie participants!

Ladies and Gentlemen, this concludes the 'Story Writing' portion of the Contest.
Congratulations for being a part of history!

If I've counted correctly, we set a new record here at ATS on the stories submitted. I counted 100 submitted stories, enough to fill two (2) thread pages. So many thanks to the membership for participating. This Contest Theme was suggested by our previous Contest winner Degradation33, and was entitled; "SUPERNATURAL". So thanks also goes to Degradation33 for the idea.

And now for this week.. we should all take the time to read, star, and flag their favorite Story. After all votes have been tallied up, we'll announce the winners. And that winner will get to choose the theme for our next Contest beginning August the 1st.

So, the curtain draws on this remarkable contest. I don't know about much older editions, but I believe the record books have to be rewritten. It looks like the 100 word format has become more contagious than covid.

As we await the final adjudication, I'd like to pre-empt that by announcing one definitive winner... "The Opening Post", that led to an extraordinary month of writing excellence.

For the record, here are some statistics that qualify this competition amongst the best of the best. We have had literally a TON of stories. Note to Johnny: my tally is slightly more than yours, but I may have counted stories that may be ineligible for whatever reason. I went purely with stories submitted.

Errata Corrige!

My spreadsheet is sound, but the data is only as good as the idiot inputting it.

In transcribing names and numbers, I entered two members twice, but the numbers, more or less, remained the same. However, I gave zosimov an extra story, which was posted just before the contest started. Plus, I messed up with WalkingHolic, too.

Anyway, here are the revised stats:
