Most anti-gun people are deathly afraid of being shot and killed. Generally there is a good reason for that fear as they tend to be overbearing people with horrible personalities. Exactly the kind of person that would be deliberately shot by a sociopath. As sociopaths tend to conflict as they recognize one another.

Maybe in all that stuff you read, you can tell us what states it is legal to hunt bear with a .22 rimfire, or maybe a quote from a professional hunter that states that a 22 rimfire is what he would use to take a bear. I’ll wait.

As far as killing a bear in an attack situation, you might get lucky with a rock, that doesn’t mean it’s a weapon of choice, more likely a weapon of desperation. No one in their right mind would use either one for hunting, unless the animal was in a helpless condition, or inches away.

There is a reason the states say that it is illegal to use a .22 for large game animals. Now if you want to talk illegally taking game, that’s different. Many deer, are taken at night from tree stands above a bait pile with a .22 shot in the back of the head from a distance of 10-15 feet, and many are wounded and run off. To die later.

He's literally become the entire reason the Bill of Rights was enacted. The Founding Fathers knew this day would come, and a tyrannical government would take over.

He can go pound sand, we will NOT be disarmed. This isn't Australia, or New Zealand, or...as of today....Canada. The mere passing of a law will not do it.

It would take nothing less than a Constitutional Convention with 2/3 of the States (Not the house of Representatives, thank God) to vote in favor of a new amendment to the Constitution to nullify the 2nd Amendment.

Never going to happen.

25 States now allow Constitutional Carry (carrying a concealed firearm without the need to obtain a permit, you just need to be legally able to buy the gun) that's a clear sign they'll never have the 2/3 majority needed to disarm us, and even if they did, it would never happen without a HUGE fight that would surely end in bloodshed.

So good thing they can't do it.

There's no rational or legal reason, that Biden, is the "President of The U.S.A."... But yet?... Hear I am! Stuck with that/it!...

I'm just going to assume, that Biden is actually an "American", and just doesn't like the metric system.

Yep. This is what they want. They do not want any civilian from ever having firearms of any type. Even if they were to ban all others except .22 not long after banning everything the first person that gets shot with a .22 will have democrat leaders and RINO gun control freaks calling to ban the .22

In Europe now they are concentrating in banning knives... Then they will ban clubs, or anything that can be used as a weapon...

In Canada the tyrant communist Trudeau already used the Uvalde mass murder to ban all sales of handguns... And like in the U.S. the left in Canada kept claiming "they are not banning all firearms...it's just COMMON SENSE GUN LAWS...

The global elites want a One World Government and an armed populace will not comply when armed... We probably have several democrat operatives in here who always claim "they are not coming for your guns" but they have been coming for our guns for decades...

It actually gets quite more difficult for them. In addition to a new amendment to repeal the Second, they would need to create another amendment to alter or remove the Fourth because the bottom line is that 98% of the gun owners would tell them to go pound sand. We also have shovels and boats and it's really easy to cache firearms...really easy.

You'd also having sheriffs and LEOs refusing so your options would be to bring in the UN or NATO - well, that would really set things off.

I absolutely love it when Democrats talk like this because it just convinces the more moderate people just how insane Dems are to even bring it up.

They likely also feel guilty for being in favor of murdering little babies. That "quiet" guilt eats away at the soul, making one paranoid.

The way over-the-top paranoia that gripped Democrats after the January 6th protests at the Capitol, stemmed from guilt over several wrongs they've committed against other human beings.

For those who would reply that an armed citizenry could have no effect against a modern army, it is only necessary to direct their attention to the history of the last years.
Look to Afghanistan and Vietnam where the most powerful military in the history of the world was defeated by an insurgency with much much cruder weapons.

Also the Supreme Court has the ultimate say and authority on interpretation the Constitution because of Marbury vs. Madison 1803 and that case says they have that say well because they say so. It doesn’t matter how you or I interpret the constitution and the Suprene court decided that the 2nd amendment protects your right to defend yourself in that DC case in 2008.

Are you against a woman carrying a small pistol in a Fanny pack while she goes on a run? Or do you think she can defend herself like a marvel superhero movie from a rapist.

The right to bear arms was the great equalizer for women coming to this country from the beginning. In Europe larger stronger more powerful men could rape women while the husband was not home.

It's all a event to try to turn us all back into serfs. It will work at first but later on there will be a rise up unlike anything known to man. Yeah violence is definately a problem, but I'd much prefer a woman armed with a crockpot bursting into my kids school than an 18 year old with an AR-15.

First just quickly - my main point was regarding some moron pointing out the lack of caliber restrictions written into the 2nd ammendment in 1792 - 100 years before calibers were first invented.

But onwards from that, I fully understand your argument and I agree that there is a valid 'self defence' argument for firearms.
HOWEVER, there is a world of difference between a lady having a run with a concealed handgun, and an 18 year old being able to purchace an AR-15 with no oversight.
I live in AUS, I'm just old enough to remember Port Arthur (and the resulting gun buy back) and there is certainly still violent crime here, rape happens, murder happens, but the ONLY mass death of school kids we've had to deal with was when a bouncy castle got picked up by a stong wind, and tragically killed a bunch of kids.
Thats it - thats our biggest school tragedy in the past 3 decades. You have beaten that 27 times with gun violence in schools.... THIS YEAR?!!!!

If that isnt a huge red flag to the U.S. that there is something not right with your gun culture, God help you all.
