so your doubtful about other intelligent life, it sounds like. I am not. With maybe 2 trillion galaxies, if not more, in the known universe, and only the Lord knows how many planets within those galaxies, and all the planets moons I believe life is everywhere.
We like to think that everything MUST apply to our law of physics. There is so much we do not know!!!!
I think we have been visited for centuries, and still are to this day. It is said about 15% of UAP's cannot be explained. That is what interests me.

As I understand it…..

Much like the earth was thought to be flat…….thought to be the center of the solar system….only to be proven wrong over time with empirical evidence.

You remain a staunch skeptic until you have empirical evidence that extraterrestrials and ufo craft exist.

Interesting……………….so the fact that the USG is now publicly stating that UFO’s/UAP’s exists, you are holding out for hard proof despite the tic-tac etc..videos.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, someone said. This extraordinary claim about Ike as of now lacks that extraordinary proof.

Overall, if one reads the bulk of ufo stories over the years from 1944-47 to today belief in them---a small percentage---of them is reasonable, since we’re talking about not necessarily aliens but mainly ufos.

And that the ufos are powered by an alien force or something paranormal is also reasonable, yet a lot of the extraordinary lore of ufos has no extraordinary evidence, and indeed, a lot of it is certainly hard to believe or just false...

Belief and the certainty of knowing( through experience or reasonable belief in the testimony of others) travel the full spectrum of reasonable belief to almost certainty of (to at least a small percentage of UFOs) to utter bs and deception.

So, for instance, I see Roswell as false, Rendlesham as half false and half true, and MJ 12 most of the evidence shows it lacks certainty, but the lore behind UFO sightings outside Ruwa is reasonable.

In other words, every claim has to be looked at on its own merit. Because, unfortunately, human beings are too prone to error, deception, or (self) deception.

One other thing. What an individual experiences are for them, just don’t expect anyone to know what you experience. They can’t know what you experience, only when they experience it.

It’s like puberty, you can’t give that to someone, they themselves have to get the chemicals in their brain to know it. But that it's reasonable (all the people in the world as proof) to believe it.

Michael Salla appears to have sourced his information from MJ-12 mythology, people like Bill Cooper, Bill Moore , John Lear, Phil Schneider and even Bob Lazar. Salla himself seems a fairly credulous individual for the conclusions he arrived at. Unless he was pumping out purposeful disinformation?

I'd have to conclude that it's well beyond reasonable doubt that this story is just a fantasy. The argument that it's possible doesn't mean it's anywhere near 'probable'. The evidence would not stand up in a court of law.

What I've found with most UFO stories down the years is that very little stands up to close scrutiny. There are some genuine mysteries for sure. But people seem to prefer superficiality and fantasy stories instead of the truth. Perhaps there's a reaason for that?

Michael Salla is no more trustworthy than the batch of popular UFO book authors. He spews unbelieveable opinions. Here is a sample from:

Anyone that uses Drake's "equation" as a reliable source violates common sense as far as multitudes of intelligent beings in creation. Sure, UFOs prove the reality of other than earthlings. But to use a meaningless number to come up with an unknown total is downright silly.

In the not-so distant past the uneducated did think the earth was flat and also the center of the universe. They did the best they could with current data but they were not proven wrong, they just did not know better. Evolution with the resultant education taught us different.

Because some people thought the Earth was flat thousands of years ago does not mean aliens are visiting Earth in the present day though, does it? It is just an example of how people's minds fill in the blanks when evidence is lacking.

The conditions to test whether the Earth was and is a sphere and its place in the solar system have remained fairly constant for billions of years. Yet despite thousands of UFO reports and our advancing technology we've never detected anything under intelligent 'alien' control coming to Earth.

I'm not really trying to prove extraterrestrials exist per se. Although I don't rule it out. I prefer to look at each case as it stands and go to the original sources (if possible) to avoid any later confabulation and embellishment. Then see if there is a probable explanation that fits. Sometimes there isn't one.

All the US Navy has stated is "....The aerial phenomena observed in the videos remain characterized as "unidentified."

Sensor equipment could be malfunctioning, the operators could have been unfamiliar with or unable to discern what was detected because they hadn't completed "Expert Observer Training". I've never found the specific course pilots take to make them experts on everything seen in the skies.

I am aware that numerous friendly fire incidents have happened and pilots have mistaken rocket boosts, celestial events and even the Starlink satellites for UFOs. J.Allen Hynek found pilots to be the least reliable eyewitnesses of perceived UFO events. That's because their job is one where safety is paramount, not detecting potential alien spacecraft.

So "unidentified" does not automatically mean aliens. I don't think any government has denied UFOs exist. But people get all excited about the statement because they interpret UFO to mean 'aliens'. But it doesn't!

I believe that they are required to turn power over to their
VP.

Perahps Ike didn't want to do that, and had that necessary
dental work.

On 'the Orville' there was an episode where an advanced species captured
the captain and first officer.

They were utterly helpless.

What got them their freedom?

Stories..

They gave them the entire Earth's cultural archive.. in partiuclar
reality TV and sit coms.

Even those godlike aliens were super ammused/enthralled.

now THAT is out of the box thinking.. not the same old lying #.

The only thing we do know is a fact is that presidents do have secrets regarding UFOs, in other words at one point from the early years of the 50s on, UFO information was highly classified, and there are some things presidents can’t say about it.

I wouldn’t speculate what that is though many have given their idea of what it is that is so classified by the government about UFOs.

Yes.

Humans have a built in 'safety valve' for existential stress.
It sucks to be alive much of the time, and we are
the fat, pampered Westerners, not the underfed, diseased
and dying 25% of the population.

People flee into fantasy.. for pyschological reasons..

Now my wife and I like fantasy books and movies
and science fiction.

But we know what we are doing and why, when we
do it.

My own researches into 'spirituality and ufology' started
out in an unhealthy manner. like most people do.. in
the beginning and for much of my time.

Being a 'spiritual or ufo researcher' feels more visceral,
more real, than just reading a book for watching a show,
and that's why it's so addicting.

Now, I got something out of it in the end.. made lemonaid
out of lemons.. but that's not the norm.

It's often just psychologically destabilizing.

some of the most rational stuff out there on this subject.
