innerRevolution yes "Gates' or "Keys" would parallel the context of the terms "Symbol" with respect to how I am applying it.

The prayer you have suggested in your example.....

"Our father, you who are in the heavens
Hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come......"

is something I have used with respect to meditation
in the past as a symbol.

The difference between spirituality and religion? A person's religion limits them and the soul's growth to be prepared for the next level of conscienceness.

I disagree to an extent, religions allow for a means for people to lean about what is a very complex subject, but religions are also a business. At the very least they have those who work for them who have basic needs which have to be met.

Any thoughts?

Religion is "bad". There is nothing really bad only what one perceives to be bad. Religions do serve a purpose. Most are shooting for the truth. What I'm saying is if you are a member of just one then you are being told just part of the story.

I can agree with that learning as much as is possible with respect to all systems of belief answers a question.

In that light let me present this link....
