Yeah, that's it, anyone who thinks what Putin is doing is extremely destructive and wrong must be on the payroll. What a totally weak sauce position.

That's a hoot. War is destructive. And, two wrongs don't make a right.

Let's ignore all the wrong that was being done to Russia. Walks away whistling Dixie. ♩ ♪ ♫ ♬

Exactly what 'wrongs' were done to Russia to justify all the death and destruction that has resulted from their invasion of a non-threatening neighbouring independent country?

Now Russia is the freest country in the world. You live in captivity of the old notions.

As long as you're not a journalist, anti-putin activist, or homosexual/LGBTQ.

This couldn’t be more true. Lots here cheerleading for Russia here. Basing everything off the US.

As they wave their Pom Poms they don’t say how you can’t protest in Russia. Be anti-Putin. Gay. Russian atrocities in war.

It’s alway, Hey remember when US did this? Remember when the police killed that black guy? What about that time in Kosovo? Western MSM is such propaganda while Russian MSM is nothing but truth.

Go wave a pride flag in front the Kremlin and report back. Go attend a protest and report back. Talk bad about Putin in Russia and report back.

Remember the RT article about embracing censorship and posting only state approved content? Remember that and claim Russian MSM and Russian MOD as your trusted sources is hypocrisy.

Ask the Georgians and the Chechnyas(the ones at home, the citizens, not the militants and their leader with delusions of grandeur.) about Russia war crimes. Their 2 victims before this. Well documented what Russia did, seems all we get though is Russia is close to perfection and that is just lies from the West.

When you claim Russia is free you are delusional.
If you claim Western MSM and intelligence sources are propaganda, but not Russian then you are delusional.
If you claim the West commits war atrocities and targets civilians, but not Russia then you are delusional.

Many Americans and others who support Putin wouldn't last a week if they went to live in Russia. They would soon want to come home and then realise what side their bread is buttered on.

Pity they don't get the chance to try it.

The same "wrongs" perceived by the US Government in 1960 regarding Russian missiles in Cuba?

For me one of the most startling aspects of all this has been the reaction of so many freedom loving, flag waving, Libertarian Defenders of Freedom here on ATS who have advocated Ukraine meekly submitting to Russian aggression and supporting an authoritarian de facto dictator who brutally suppresses all opposition.

They swallow the propaganda constantly spewing out from official Russian sources unquestioningly and openly support the invasion of a weaker, independent country and try everything possible to justify all the death and destruction.

They blindly follow a bullying tyrant who has repeatedly threatened the use of first strike nuclear weapons for no reason other than to get his own way in chasing his dreams of Russian expansionism.

Their years of preaching about freedom of speech etc have proven to be nothing but a charade and worthless.
It honestly has surprised me how quickly they betrayed the principles they alleged to hold so dear.

And as you correctly point out, they would be amongst the first victims of life under Putin.

How can you support the puppet country of Ukraine? their PM was placed in power, they have the neo-nazi satanic "AZOV" battalion that routinely hides behind civilians while killing them and claiming it was "Russia's" fault just to spread disinfo.

Supporting Ukraine is basically supporting everything wrong with western society.

Ummm...actually...the default is totally on the US...and those other western pissant yes men countries...

Russia has 400 billion in reserve US and Euro denominations...the US refuses to let Russia use its own US dollar reserves to pay the debt with those funds owned by Russia that the US and those ragtag ass kisser countries have illegally stolen from Russia...

Therefore...the default lies in the western thieves...thievery...who have stolen 400 billion...of Russia's currency reserves...and defaulted in releasing Russia's money so they can service their debt obligations...so who is contractually negligent there...?

This has only served to establish a bad precedent...and the majority of foreign nations are already establishing their own currency exchange mechanisms for trade...without using the Dollar and the Euro as exchange currencies...

So...who really loses...in the long view...

Specifics?

Nuland's Goons in Ukraine have been shelling parts of the Donbass for 8 years or more.

If understanding the comparisons between Russian missiles in Cuba and NATO arms in Ukraine is too hard for you, I may be wasting my time.

If understanding the huge propaganda effort presented by MSM in the US regarding the heroism of the two imposters Biden and Zelensky is too hard for you, I know I'm wasting my time.

Carry on good subject. Freeborn perhaps, but certainly not Freethinking.

Like who? Certainly not the EU or North America. Most of OPEC is still pricing oil in dollars.

That's the crux of Russia's problem their reasons for invading Ukraine, hell it's the crux of the problem with Russia in general. They are stuck in the 1960s. Russia could turn Ukraine into CUBA 2.0 and they could all happily be together, and the NATO threat level to Russia would be still the same. The time difference between getting hit from Ukraine and getting hit from Poland is minuscule. NATO aligned Ukraine is an irritant but it isn't a threat to Russia, if it is Putin might need to turn in Russia's Super Power card.

I have no doubt about the corruption, graft, and Nazis in Ukraine but none of it comes close to warranting the current invasion of Ukraine and slaughter of innocent people.

Likely whatever little threat they were to Russia previously, has been greatly reduced or eliminated altogether.

Continuing to hammer Ukraine now, look like just punishing innocents cause Russia can't get completely what it wants. So they will pummel those eastern regions into the mud.

I would not be surprised at all if that were the case, but I have never made such a claim.

Nukes are not necessary to kill innocent civilians. Plain old-fashioned HE delivered by cannon and mortar will kill them just fine.
