Methadone.

They give junkies methadone here in the UK which kind of takes the edge off their condition for some .

I understood the essence of the treatment here.

At first I thought that drug addicts were simply given as many drugs as they wanted.

They would be as well to give them what they need as they will get what they need by other means, bartering , stealing etc .

They get massive amounts of money for being a addict in the UK and seem to make it a lifestyle if you call being in that state a life
.

Looks like an old garage or the like. Look at those big massive arched windows all the same, nice architecture indeed. Might have been an old bingo/dance hall at one point or something similar.

As to the other building it looks to be a hostel/hotel or pub now.

I noticed those arched windows.

Yes. I realized that now it is not a church, but I was interested in what this building was in the beginning.

Am I correct that this practice of putting trees next to a house is not common in Glasgow? - www.google.com/maps/@55.8770852,-4.3075206,3a,75y,115.18h,88.31t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sn9R7b0pCv5hhV01Dafg98Q!2e0!7i16384!8i8192

Well "To a Mouse" is crazy enough in Glaswegian.

I canny even imagine how that would translate to Russkiy if I'm honest.

Cool Zelenograd motif.

Our Squirrels are mostly all grey now.

As far as I understand, all poetic translations into other languages are very approximate. And many of the nuances of the original are simply untranslatable into other languages.

You don't have squirrels like these Moscow ones?

The grey ones invaded and ate them all turretless.

Still a few red ones about but seriously in decline.

Are you sure that these are different subspecies of squirrels? It seems that squirrels change the color of their fur depending on the season.

Well, you're still luckier than Australia in that regard (as well as the Sea of Marmara off the coast of Turkey).

Tell me please, is this a residential building or not?

I agree that this is a very strange strategy.

Probably when the money in the budget becomes much less, it will stop.

I lived in those flats when i was a student.

I wanted to point out that I did not see any playgrounds for children in the city (and saw one sports ground).

I found greek architecture motifs in Glasgow. Is this a museum?

Glasgow is surrounded by parks full of playgrounds for children.

Off the top of my head there's Richmond Park, Overton Park, Queens Park, Bellahouston Park, Pollock Park and the Glasgow Green.

Most schemes have got playgrounds incorporated into the place also some even with 5 a side or full size pitches.

Now the quality and state of the places vary greatly, their is that.

Its not a museum, think its a dodgy nightclub now.

I know there's not as many of them now as there used to be but one of the first things that struck me when I first went to Glasgow was the number of dookits.

Coming from a place where keeping pigeons is a relatively common practice I was amazed at the shear size and number of what I incorrectly assumed were just big pigeon lofts.

In reality that would be true but in this clown world they the government just borrow more money over a longer period ,our government is still paying of loans from the Boer war they make interest payments on that loan rather than pay them off .

In my opinion it is barbaric to use such a building in this way.

Several beautiful old buildings -

Who is giving you money now if you are still paying debts for the Boer War?

Do you have unpaid debts for the two world wars?

And what will happen if they stop lending you money?

My mate Stephen from Glasgow is playing in the second round at The Crucible as I speak....1-1 at the moment.

I don't watch him when he's playing, he always does #e.
He was 6-3 up in the first round against Shaun Murphy - there's a lot of 'history' between the two - and I turned it on.
Murphy got back to 7-7.....I turned it off again and Stephen scraped home.

Good luck mate.

Good luck to you mate Freeborn.

I like the Snooker myself sometimes, buddy.

Always takes me back to watching the likes of Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor on a black and white telly sometime back in the 80s. LoL
