If the USA hits NK, China will take it and more. There is no way to know what is really at play.

Aircraft carriers rely on other assets to stay afloat.

Since the 90s, America has been buying foreign made items for defense tech. Perhaps there is a way to disable our ships, nukes, jets, etc??

China ALWAYS uses North Korea as a proxy to do their dirty work. If they didn't, China would starve every last one of them to death. North Korea relies too heavily on China for it's survival.

The reality is if NK attacked SK, the soldiers on the DMZ have approximately 30 seconds to live. They are not there to act as a defense, they are there to act as a deterrent to attack, because the USA losing 30k troops the first day of the attack would trigger a massive response from us. NK knows this, therefore they have not and will not attack. Sure there may be some small artillery fire, but a true response from NK would not only include 1.3 MILLION artillery being fired, but ICBM's and missiles hitting Japan. There may be some artillery firing, and 20-100 troops dying, but it won't escalate past that.

Everything you read about what would happen in a war before it happens turns out to be wrong. Go on YouTube and look at news coverage before Desert Storm about how the coalition was going to suffer 10,000+ casualties. We suffered less than 10% of that. Go back and watch what they said before we invaded Iraq in 2003. Hell, what were they saying back in January about what would happen if Russia invaded Ukraine?

They're always wrong.

The reality is North Korea's army is worse trained, worse funded, worse equipped, worse supplied, and worse fed than Russia's. South Korea would wipe the floor with them. Whatever you read in media reports about how many casualties we'd take, in the real world they'd be lucky if they were even half right. They're usually off by a factor of 5 or 10.

ETA: Just to give you an idea, so you say NK would be firing over a million rounds of artillery. That's completely unrealistic. First of all, NK doesn't have over a million artillery pieces, so whoever you got that number from took the number of pieces they have and assumed they could keep up a sustained barrage with them at a certain rate for a certain number of hours. The problem with that is, the second they open fire, their locations are exposed for counterattack. A certain percentage of pieces always malfunction, in anyone's artillery, even the best-maintained. So between malfunctions and pieces destroyed in counterattack, their capacity to launch artillery would be rapidly degraded. There isn't any scenario where NK launches over a million rounds of artillery, whether they strike first or we do.

You're also completely overestimating NK's missile capabilities.

I have to disagree. Based on Russia's embarrassing performance in Ukraine, I think the new "Allies" could defeat the new "Axis."

The problem is our leaders lack the will to do so. The new Axis is defeating us without even firing a shot at us.

I personally do not think that Russia losing. Not by a long shot. What they are doing is pushing the Ukraine to use all of it''s resources. A waiting game. The Ukraine, if they are not helped, have about 2-3 weeks of defensive weaponry left. Then they are tapped out. Russia is laying waste to cities. The propaganda is in full overdrive. Their leader speaking before the Grammys? Really?

Maybe they should hire The Fresh Prince to smack the snot out of Putin...

I agree though, right now, our leaders have no balls.

I've gotten plenty of accusations of being a Putin/Russia fan because I have questioned the same thing. But they are still performing poorly, no matter what you think their plan is. I think Putin's plan all along has been to take the Eastern provinces. All the focus around Kiev was a distraction. Remember for weeks there was talk about that big convoy, then all of a sudden it was "Oh, wait, there's hardly any tanks or artillery in that convoy.. where did they go?" That was never meant to take the capital.

The Ukraine government will be thanking God they were able to hold onto the capital and capitulate in negotiations the things Russia really wanted.

Leaders of nations learned from the lack of an OBAMA/BIDEN response to Russia invading Ukraine in 2014, that with Biden as President, it's open-season on executing plans of aggression around the world.

The WEAKNESS of Biden has encouraged North Korea to launch TWO Ballistic missiles this week, and prepare a large underground Nuclear bomb for testing later this month.

Some countries like NK won't go to war, simply because the soldiers, are ruled by fear, and it would in this day and age.be a mass surrender operation causing a logistical nightmare. Ten percent of the population is living well. They won't want to risk it either the status quo is the preferred status They are acting their parts like everyone else. That's the reality. Much like Sadam sending soldiers to the front in the clothes they were wearing when they were conscripted. The first thing was to get captured rather than be shot and then get a good feed. They just are not motivated enough as they have nothing to lose.

If the North Korean leadership initiates a nuclear war it would mean they are reactionary infiltrators pretending to be communists, just like Stalin or Pol Pot were.
