The bigger they are, the less they are blown around by wind. The bigger motors give them more authority to hold their own. But you run a bigger risk
of breaking stuff the heavier the build is.
When I got into the hobby, tiny whoops and micros did not exist. My first real drone was the Wizard X220. 5" props. To get used to flying with
goggles, I would just keep it in horizon mode and cruise above the tree tops. Then once I was comfortable, I put it into Acro and never looked back.
I also practiced on simulators before hand. That was a HUGE help. Before my first real full acro flight with my first drone. I probably logged a good
30 - 40 hours on the sim. I feel like that helped a lot.
