The Ukraine gave up it's nuclear deterrent for peace !

This is a story of a country that was a nuclear power and gave up it's huge arsenals for peace, and look where that that got them.

After the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Ukraine held about one third of the Soviet nuclear arsenal, the third largest in the world at the time, as well as significant means of its design and production.130 UR-100N intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM) with six warheads each, 46 RT-23 Molodets ICBMs with ten warheads apiece, as well as 33 heavy bombers, totaling approximately 1,700 warheads remained on Ukrainian territory. Formally, these weapons were controlled by the Commonwealth of Independent States. In 1994, Ukraine agreed to destroy the weapons, and to join the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT).

So that treaty was useless to them and not respected by anybody else, imagine how betrayed they must feel by the world community.
If they had still had those weapons, Putin would not have dared to invade. Their sovereignty would be defended by the MAD ideology.
This is why it's such a shame for those that encouraged the Ukraine to do this in the west, and aren't doing more for them right now.

For the future, any country encouraged to give up nukes, or not develop them only has to look at the Ukraine and tell the countries that don't want them to, "yeah well we saw how you helped Ukraine after they gave up their nukes"

Even if not, their security certainly have them.

Plenty of hypocrisy to go 'round.

Point being, there is l9mg documented history where disarming the population, or in this case country, lead to massive deaths for the unarmed.

Well at least they still have their US funded bio weapon labs that all the shady politicians get kickbacks from. Unless Russia already got them all. Regarding giving up the nukes, well if Biden wasn’t in power, Russia never would’ve invaded. Need proof? Just look at the 4 years before Biden stole the election. Nobody respects the US right now because we don’t have an elected leader.

Where did the nuclear weapons come from ?
Why were they there ?
Who built the complexes to where more could be made ?
Who manned the sites , worked at the complexes ?

Ukraine wasn't part of anything in 1994 when they gave up their nuclear weapons in the Budapest Memorandum, they were an independent nation.

Why did they give MOST of them up ?

Mostly for the below:

1. The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America reaffirm their commitment to Ukraine, in accordance with the principles of the Final Act of the Conference on Security and Cooperation in Europe, to respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraine.

2. The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the United States of America reaffirm their obligation to refrain from the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of Ukraine, and that none of their weapons will ever be used against Ukraine except in self-defence or otherwise in accordance with the Charter of the United Nations.

Gosh , I could keep going all day long ....

You should probably pick up a history book before you do.

On a more serious note if they still had nukes or chemical and biological munitions in active service, Russia would be off attempting to bully some other relatively peaceable nation.

Try addressing the historical facts I cited above instead of making strawman arguments. It would be easier if you read the Budapest Memorandum first, it will help with those facts.
