I personally don't see floods/waves taking out the U.S.

yet at the same rate, I do see how the ocean waves could be manipulated.


But pushing water miles up a coast would be very difficult.

Thid guy says the whole US will be destroyed by a wave. Meaning that basically, there must be enough water to coner a 3500 mile swath of plains, mountains, and deserts.

Any wave that big would also engulf the rest of the world.

Even the Canary Island volcano will only make waves 30 miles inland. It will also swallow the Sahara and wipe out the coasts of France, Spain, and Southern England.

As a Muslim , I think I have to say something about this post.

First of all the article says that the man who came up with this theory is NOT a scholar.

Second , we a smuslims believe that its very risky to go and talk about the Quraan without having proper knowledge.If this man is proved wrong in 2007 , people will start doubting the authenticity of the Quraan. However , what he is claming is just a theory , and if it IS proven wrong , then it means that the man was wrong with his research , not the Qur'aan.

There is also a large overhang that has developed off the south end of the big island of Hawaii created by the volcano Mauna Loa as it spews lava into the Pacific. The Pacific Plate is moving northwest toward the Aleutian Trench and passing over the 'hotspot' that created the islands to begin with. There is a huge crack that runs all the way across the island several miles inland. It is like a big cornice of snow that develops on a ridgeline and causes an avalanche. I this portion of the island falls into the ocean, the entire Pacific Rim would be scoured by massive tsunamis.

The Quran says nothing about the United States as a nation. Like the New Testament, all of the references in prophetic verse have at various times, been assigned to various countries. The obscure descriptions allow this by virtue of their obscurity.
This same prediction was made about Great Britain in the early 1900's. All of the so called prophecies of all religions have been assigned to present time events at nearly every historical juncture.
While it is probable that a tsunami like event will inevitably occur. It is sad that it will be deemed a fufillment of prophecy.

It is not very likely. The chain of command does not begin and end within the Washington establishment. And a Tsunami type event could not happen without the mainland having a reasonably long warning period. It takes a long time for a Tsunami of that magnitude to reach our shores.

To be pretty honest, it would be cool to have the US overrun by a tsunami (not to sound unpatriotic or anything). But I do have doubts, of course. So I suppose we'll be able to find the answers in no less than two years!!

So let us debate then, whether this was wishful thinking or just written coincidence, shall we?

What right do you have calling other works rubbish. You know nothing about every religion so you cannot generalize. I think people are losing sight of the dooms day theories/prophecy.

Mostly all religions and ancient people point to this same conclusion or vairety of events such as Tsunamis, Earthquakes, fires etc. but its more like a cleansing which has happened countless times througout millions of years in order to make way for a new era. It will happen again. All religions were pretty much built off of a certain ideaology a grew from that, which I do not agree with, but people always latch onto something that suits them like the ones always shooting down theories/beliefs/concerns in this forum. Its funny that they all come to common ground at the end no matter what there doctorine proclaims.

I say bring it. Humans have worn out there welcome. Most are not worthy of a new world because they cant get it together in this one.

There are also a few last days prophecies that leave you asking, "where is the USA". Some of them are pertaining to the last battle in Israel. I also have read prophecies that we will be spread to thin to defend ourselves and China and Russia will combine forces and invade us.
