By golly this will have made a lot of palestinians and other arabs happy

I think the tsunami obessions are getting a bit extreme, but even the most imaginative dreamer would be hard put to see one destroy the USA.
Can you imagine some potato farmer in Idaho looking up and saying "Hey where did that wall of water come from?"

A thorough analysis of the Koran reveals that the US will cease to exist in the year 2007, according to research published by Palestinian scholar Ziad Silwadi.

The study, which has caught the attention of millions of Muslims worldwide, is based on in-depth interpretations of various verses in the Koran. It predicts that the US will be hit by a tsunami larger than that which recently struck southeast Asia.

"The tsunami waves are a minor rehearsal in comparison with what awaits the US in 2007," the researcher concluded in his study. "The Holy Koran warns against the Omnipotent Allah's force. A great sin will cause a huge flood in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans."

Actually a tsunami of that magnitude will not only take US but most of the central America and the Caribbean, so It will have to be some major earthquake or a cluster of many of them one after another one like many nuclear explosions.

Did you read the thread one on oil prices and Terri's death demonic connection?

I tell you we will be the cause of our end of times, because if it doesn't happen some will find a way to make it happen.

I think there is speculation of whether a Mega Tsunami
Mega Tsunami
From a huge land slide on the Island of La Palma in the Canaries would wipe out most of the East Coast of America.

I think that this "Prophecy" is just wishful thinking on the Arabs part. However I did read into the volcano on the Canary islands collapsing, and that does look like a possiblity. Not that it would happen, but that it could make a big wave.

With the 12 year drought we have had here in Idaho it might be a good thing

I guess if the end of the US is coming in 3 years our potato farmers better learn to grow their potatoes on boats.

Thank God I live in Canada, regardless, I'm not heavily read in the Qu'ran, though I do own some various copies, I can say with a fairly educated guess that certain verses may have been rendered at whim to feed this scholor the fuel he needed to manipulate his followers.

I've kinda taken the view of my father in that I'm pretty much numb to any "End of the World" type stuff. The worst case scenario is that humans or nature make the planet uninhabitable, all humans die, and eventually something else takes over as the predominant life.

When you consider it like that, one wave to one country really isn't that bad.

Maybe what will happen between here and 2007 will be that the san andreas breach will collapse and then the california will be a mew atlantis... and this will make a huge Tsunami and then the Japan will be a another Atlantis and maybe a huge part of Australia and Indonesia...

I don't think this guy is too far off.
Three years ago, front page local news with four page coverage all about the wasting away of the east coast. New Jersey Alone is losing 1,000 sr miles a year (when you add up all the inches lost along the whole coast). The report stated that on major hurricane, or one major noreaster winter storm will submerge lower Manhattan permanently (everything below 14th St)

Also a year or two prior to this report was the mention of the island that is sliding into the ocean, a major collapse of this mountain they said would cause a 500 ft tidal wave to reach Manhattan.

Right after the 12/26 Tsunami several reports came out stating the potential for a major Tsunami on the east coast of the US. The potential exists, its only a matter of time.

I kind of look forward too it, it will mean the end of Florida, and giant chunks of bible belt, hallejujah!
Yet I also fear it, since I've been having dreams of standing on a very very high cliff face, and seeing a wave several hundred feet higher approaching me since I was a small boy.

The cliff face looks all to much like the Palisades in New Jersey, something I had no knowledge of until I was 16, with years of big wave dreams before that.

Wait... you are saying that there is some religious dude who saw The End in his religious book and is now preaching it to people??!
Whoa... now, thats a first

He should get together with all the other nutcases who stand on the street corner and yell about the end or preach the same on TV, they should compare their Endings, see who's the coolest of them all.
I actually saw one today in the subway. He was holding the Bible saying there is a code in there predicting a huge wave will hit Austria soon if we don't repent our sins

Move along people, nothing to see here

The Bible says that the Earth will never end, that it will be here forever as so to the rest of Gods creation.
The only thing to be wipe out is Sin......
In the Tribulation it says that 1/3 of the earth will be destroyed by a asteroid (or fire from heaven) which is about the same size as the Americans are as far as land volume goes on Earth...

We'll have to wait and See !!!!!

couple of years ago there was a live discussion show on TV here in turkey. the guest was a writer who wrote a book named "Kur’an-ı Kerim’in Şifresi" which translates "the code of Khoran". actually the man wasn't a writer but a mathematician who analyzed the book in terms of code breaking, mathematics and numerology etc.

I do not recall much of his other sayings but I recall one clearly because it had the words both asteroid and NASA in it.

The man said that in year 2006 an asteroid over 1 km radius will impacts the pasific near america (it could also be atlantic though). And later on there was a discussion about a call from NASA to this man to work for NASA. The guy was looking very convinced about what he was saying.

I remember he was very disturbed about the reactions he got from the religious society and he was saying that if he knew the reactions he would get, he wouldn't write the book. He was very troubled actually, because for some muslims around, playing around with a holy book by using a calculator was no good obviously. He was trying to explain himself that he meant no harm to the book and muslim beliefs and by doing what he did he thought he was serving the holiness of the book but I guess he continued to get death threats.

He also said his notes was manipulated by the publisher before printing, so overall things were a mess. but as I said the asteroid and the NASA part was very clear. I didn't read his book, and not heard any news about him, I searched the subject on google, but the ones that contain NASA and the asteroid don't work, even the google cached pages give error.

note: the guy was not a religion man or a radical, just your ordinary mathematician working in a university.

if you want to look it up the books name is "Kur'an-ı Kerim'in Şifresi" by the writer "Ömer Çelakıl" printed in 2002 (so this is older then the jewish version?)

My opinion is neutral, I personally believe end of the world prophecies are BS, as any other prophecy is.(except global warming). But since I don not know how this man came up with this idea by analyzing a book, I cant tell for sure.

This post is just to say "there is something like this also"

I remember at the time I suspected that the real cause of the iraq war could be to secure enough land piece other than current america in case of a natural disaster.
