Good for Florida, solving non problems. Most people use terms like Marxist, communist, socialist and can't define them. This should help. LOL.

It might only be a “mole” at the time but you know damn well it’ll turn into terminal cancer if it isn’t removed entirely… stop playing stupid…

shame on you. he's not playing.

I was attempting to be niceish… it won’t happen again… 🤣

I say that all of the fl house, senate that voted to pass the bill and governor ron who signed it be sent to washington and replace as many POS's up there as possible .
But first they to pass a bill that would allow the state to be it's either the 23 or 24th state have to check, to have permitless carry, Then send them.

Given the left's "logic" on the other one, you're probably right. I'd like to watch BLM try to riot down there like they did all over other places. I believe Florida has different gun laws than most of those cities did.

The good thing about banning a straw man is that it always works 100%.

The bad thing about banning a straw man is that you shut down any legitimate discussion around it.

That's why so many dictators and authoritarian governments do it.

I understand those things just fine. It's just the debate tactic du jour to tell someone that what they're talking about isn't "true" Marxism, communism, socialism, and then run away when challenged to explain what the "true" versions of those things are to lay the groundwork for debate.

That also applies to free market economics, classical liberalism, Brexit and MAGA.

The fact that they're using the word "woke" in the act makes it that much better. They could have used "insane" as well.
I saw a clip of DeSantis the other day. He was calling a reporter a liar, right to his face. It was great.

"Insane ____" (insert that other word here, I refuse to even type it) works much better. I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know if I'll be back again. Florida looking like a great, living destination.

You probably aren't even educated on the history of CRT, so called "cultural marxism," roots in the Frankfurt School in Germany which moved to Columbia University, etc.

Elements of these ideologies absolutely ARE being taught in our schools, universities, government offices, and now even corporations. They represent toxic, dogmatic, and inaccurate hard left ideologies that are divisive and harmful to our society and organizations.

By the by, how do you feel about the left calling everyone that questions them in the slightest "Nazis, fascists, white nationalists, sexists," so on and so forth?

Oh no, it was a "mole" in probably 1981. I work in government, non-profits, and higher education. It's completely full of this stuff, from bottom to top. It accelerated from about 2005, when I was a researcher in relevant areas but this was still relegated to activist organizations and certain academic fields.

Sure bro, and progressive ideologies haven't infiltrated everything from social media companies to government and education. You do realize those are partly derived from CRT right?

Can you tell me what the "long march through the institutions is?"

Which side right now is deplatforming, censoring, and even firing people for not complying with these ideologies or speaking against them?

As Thomas Sowell said, if universities are so focused on "diversity" ask them how many conservatives are in their sociology departments?

I usually complain about living in Florida as I despise this state but lately it's not so bad with our governor. He doesn't care what the woke crowd will think or say with anything, it is great! During the plandemic we didn't have any mandate, our governor said heck no. I wore a mask the first few months of the whole fiasco but after that they were not required anywhere, minus a few doctors offices. My son did have to wear one in school last year but it was not enforced that much as everyone was over it.

I am glad this went through, no way do I want my 8 year old coming home with this as his curriculum. There is another bill about to pass or that did pass here and I am glad for that one as we'll. NOT appropriate for kids either.

The "woke" ideology is the REAL insurrection.

It's really neat how Florida intentionally tries to stay as "opposite" of what California is, as possible.

The gap between the two grows wider every month in several areas, including the abortion subject.

Yes, and notice how the very same crowd pushing this crap was all over their freedoms given them in the COTUS when they get pushback, but turn and deny the same to others as soon as they have the power in their own hands? That's no accident. It's by design.

The leftists have said they aren't teaching CRT, so there should be no push-back.

(Looking forward to seeing all the leftist push-back)

Stop me if you heard this before:

- ANTIFAH is just an idea
- inflation is just transitory
- COVID was just the result of poor hygiene in a meat market
- there are no biological "research" laboratories in Ukraine
- "defund the police" never really happened

The right wants to suppress discussion of oppression. The left wants to weaponize the discussion of oppression.

Once again, Florida leads the nation for all the (fill in the blank) reasons.

Do we?

This is "oppression" to the left. Two kids are racing into class last minute. One is white, and the other is not. The white kid gets there just a bit earlier and takes the second to the last seat so the kid who isn't white has to enter last and take the last chair in front of everyone else.

To the left, this is horrible! The evil white kid forced the not white kid to enter last by exerting their white privilege, and they made that kid take the last seat in front of everyone which would make that kid uncomfortable. It's a classic case of oppression and a microaggression. That's really where we have to find our racism now.

Obviously, the white kid should have noticed that one classmate was missing and waited to make sure they weren't putting them on the spot or something ...

To the left, the intent of what someone says no longer matters. It's all in how it's perceived. To someone like myself who is largely INTP/J (depends on the day and test) that means I will be endlessly offensive without meaning to be. I live in my rational mind, not my feeling mind. I don't make or offer solutions based on anyone's feelings, but on my rational, logical perception of a problem, so when I "offend" any listener, that's on them, not me. I surely never intended to upset someone; I simply never brought emotion to the game to begin with.

However, in today's world, all that matters to anyone is how they felt about it. If it made them feel bad, then I was being racist or misogynist or whatever else they want to say about it to explain why they felt bad.

I cannot go through life guarding or analyzing every single utterance I will ever make trying to divine how every single listener (or reader) in the room might interpret it through their own lens. I am not psychic or responsible for how you feel. When I intend to hurt, you will know it.

A little common courtesy goes a long way sometimes. Nothing wrong with making others feel comfortable in an awkward situation. Of course, some people may take advantage of that, whatever. Everything doesn't have to be politicized. We are living in a time when mixed messages are being deliberately pushed. At the same time that cultural diversity is being lauded, so is the meme that we have never been more divided. Get out of here with that. We were getting along. There's always room for improvement, but we don't need Big Brother forcing fake values down our throats. Like what you like, like who you like. Don't have to be a jerk about it, though (lol).
