They aren't bad at all and don't have fangs that could penetrate human skin. Their webs are something else we had them here in Georgia a while back,
Not a lot of people know that the "Daddy Long legs" is extremely poisonous but their fangs are to small to bite us .
"Daddy-Longlegs are one of the most poisonous spiders, but their fangs are too short to bite humans"

I believe that only the babies deploy the parachute and fly and so do a number of native species. Not all that scary when they're the size of a pin head. Having a sky full of big ass spiders would be creepy as hell!!

That is an often misquoted misnomer. Daddy long legs are not posionous or venemous, as properly identified. There are 2 types of daddy long legs that we confuse. The cellar spider and the other is not a spider and has no fangs at all. That’s the one you usually see in your house. They don’t even spin webs

I'm just the opposite .
I'd rather fight a Spider the size of a bear than fight an actual Bear .
Bears are Omnivorous creatures or a better way to describe them would be to say they are opportunistic Predators , They eat what ever is most easily available to them .
Which could be berries or a wounded Deer or a Slow Fat Human , and they eat everything the same just one bite at a time while they hold it down and it screams . Bears do not kill there prey quickly , they don't go for the Arteries nor do they suffocate there prey they just use there weight and strength to hold and eat .
So no I'd take the spider , a Bear is one of my worst nightmares.
