Name one or a few , it doesn't matter.
Escape from the here and now. Can be fantasy , real, just dream away.

If it were up to me I'd escape (permanently) to either Skyrim, Victorian London, Ancient Rome, or another planet all entirely.
Probably I'd go with Skyrim though
Elves, & dragons, & medieval music & towns what's not to love?

If I had a time machine, I'd go to a whole bunch of concerts.

I'd begin by going back to the first concert I ever went to. Nine Inch Nails Self Destruct Tour 1994 with Marilyn Manson & The Jim Rose Circus Sideshow. Actually, I'd probably hit a couple other shows on that tour also. With Pop Will Eat Itself, and probably Woodstock '94.

Then I'd bounce back a couple years and go to Seattle. See Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, and many more.

Then I'd go see The Doors, and start working my way back forward through time. I suppose I might as well stop by the first Woodstock.

Probably about every Pink Floyd Tour through the 70s.

And all of that would just be the start.....

Eire.. in the early 1900's.. when things were self done, and you lived in the green hills.

I'd probably be killed by a brit, but meh... give me that time, to go off grid, when there was no grid to go off of. Build me a small hut, fish, farm a small stock, turn their fat into candles, and swim in the river..

Éire go Brách !

I'm 38 and I would say the 90's. I miss being a kid/teen with no worries.

I miss the music, the video games (especially arcades), the movies, the tv shows, the cars, etc.

I know all of that still exists, but being there during that time was just different for me.

I guess I am just getting old...

I'm with you 100 percent on Skyrim or really anywhere in the Elder Scrolls Universe. But Skyrim is definitely my favorite! As for a more down to Earth I think I would either love to see Ancient Egypt or Medieval Ireland.

Back to the late 1960s, flower power, the best of times, best of music, best of music festivals. Who could ask for more.

TImeframe-
Before the last ice age,25-30 thousand years ago.
I would live a semi nomadic life and witness the incredible beauty of the natural world and all its creatures before modern "civilisation" and meet the locals.

Location-
The Western Himalaya region,India/Nepal side, the sub tropical mountainous zones not the highest peaks if they were even fully formed then.

Special Items-
Modern backpack filled with camping/cooking/survival gear, hand tools for buiding, mosquito net, full med kit with all the usual meds in case of disease/infections,emerency food rations, waterpoof clothes/boots.

Extra special luxury items:
A selection of feminized hybrid MJ seeds, and some tobacco seeds.

Weapons, just in case-
60lb Mongol recurve Bow,spare strings and arrow making tools,Machete.

I've felt the exact same way for a long time, and I don't see that ever changing. For the rest of my life, I'm sure I will always wish it was still the 90s. I'd rather if ALL technology had completely stopped progressing in the late 90s, and just stayed there, frozen in time.

Too bad Y2K wasn't some sort of an actual glitch in reality that reset it back to 1990 instead of 2000, over & over & over.... Relive each year of the 90's, but 10 years older each time, again and again....

eta: Now that I think about though, TV would be a big problem. Not really because of the shows, but I wouldn't be able to watch much TV after the first time. The first 3 things that come to mind are Desert Storm, O.J., and Yo MTV Raps.... nope, couldn't deal with any of that again... There was way too much of it the first time....

A couple exceptions would be: I'd like to experience the X-Files brand new again from the beginning, and I never watched Twin Peaks when it originally aired...

The past sucks. kingdoms sucked, no modern medicines sucked, no usa constitution sucked, women routinely died during child birth, no internet, much lower life expectancy, no education. So much suck.

We have it so good in the united states today that people can eat meat with every meal while they sit on their ass talking to others instantly across the globe about how unfair life is.
The poorest of us lives better than kings of the past.

So yeah i'd rather be right here right now or in the future.
