It's a defensive alliance. As long as there are nations that are adversarial with the member nations it will serve a purpose.

Remember that the only time a member nation has invoked Article 5 was the US following 9/11.

Basically Russia never wanted to be a part of NATO, they wanted to dominate it with special privileges putting them on top of everyone else. That's why they never actually applied.

After NATO and the EU take over Europe, they will go after America with the intent of dominating everyone here and making us into Serfs. Not to be confused with Smurfs.

There are people in Europe that want world domination and they use a lot of deceptive tactics to convince others to back them. They have ties to some of our politicians, but those politicians will have to be eliminated to hide all evidence once they take control. Remember, they cannot put people in power that would believe in anything other than what they believe, Americans have had freedom imbred in them, if they do not replace the leaders and put people they can completely trust in power, countries may go against them in the future. They will choose loyal people they can trust, are there any DC politicians in this country that anyone can trust?

As I mentioned above, it's a defensive alliance. Just because the USSR doesn't exist doesn't mean there aren't countries that are antagonistic to NATO members.

Because just this week a country not in NATO invaded a country not in NATO that sits on the boarder of the NATO countries... it exists to deter, just in case this very thing with Ukraine and Russia happens to a member state. And it literally happened right on their door step.

This week Russia stupidly proved and justified that NATO is needed. Yet he bitches and whines about NATO being to close to his boarder, yet NATO wouldn't ever preemptively invade or attack a country, thats not its purpose.

A strong NATO is imperative as is being evidenced by current events, but it won't 'take over 'anywhere, that's not its purpose.

And it couldn't happen even if 'they' wanted to.....without the active compliance of the vast majority of American people it would be impossible.
