i'm with FCD, on the athletes.

if i say,
'the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat" wouldn't everyone know the reference?

i caught some of the ice dancing and singles. i wanted t catch the downhills but missed them.

where i lived we had 90, 60 and 30 meter jumps in the winter. the 90 was open in summer for practice.

i don't think they let just anyone on the big jumps, ins issues probably but i did the 30, 3 times in a competition, lol. in winter.

a bud talked me into doing it by saying it was ski jumping lessons, we went and they gave me a number and i asked where the teacher was and the guy said what teacher, this is a competition!

so i crashed and burned all 3 jumps. not bad for my 5th time on skis. omg.

and yes i have huge respect for these kids that compete.

let them have it when they are ready. most will only get 1 shot.

i have an issue with the IOC for letting china have it there.


if i wasn't so busy working all the time, i coulda bin somebody. i coulda bin a contenda.

I hope she realizes once she loses her competitive edge as a skater she will have no further use to the CCP.
I can understand not wanting to represent the US but communist China?
Maybe she will have Uighur neighbors.
