Well, folks, I think it's official; the new National Hero of the USA is...Eilleen Gu, figure skater from...CHINA!

Born in the USA, trained in the USA, and 'defected' from the USA to compete for CHINA in the 2022 Olympic Games. Family who still live in the USA, cowering from their Chinese homeland and oppressive government, and enjoying the spoils of AMERICA. She's a TRAITOR, but she's our new National Hero and Icon of the USA!!! Network broadcasters in the USA for the Olympic have done nothing but talk about Gu at every-single-opportunity! They've gushed about this chick with bio's out the butt, and non-stop talking about how fantastic she is. They've completely ignored gold medal winners to talk about her, literally right when someone else was competing and better. It's absolutely unbelieveable! But hey, she's competing for CHINA, right? So it must all be good...because China now OWNS us.

Why is this thread in 'US Political Madness" instead of 'Sports"? Isn't it obvious???? How could they possibly be endlessly celebrating this chick if there weren't political and propaganda motivations by the Chinese (our new OWNERS) to the Americans? Our leaders have been told, and the networks have been told...they MUST celebrate this chick beyond all other athletes at the Olympics to prove just how awesome China is, and the reason every American should ether defect to China themselves, or welcome the Chinese Communist lifestyle here in the USA! Minimally, there should be rallies in the streets protesting freedom and promoting communism...'down with freedom!' THAT is why they're celebrating her so much, she's the perfect Chinese propaganda tool...for CHINA!

It is just incomprehensible to me how far the USA has fallen. How long before we rename the USA?

Seriously!!!

That spy is the product of how china communist party is infiltrating other countries sending their breeders to spawn children to become citizens, while they are born in the countries like US, they are still breed to follow the communist way of life, they get educated in the country they are born, later on they become part of the political system and with enough spawns from the communist china in positions of power they can change the make over of a nation.

It already known that some come with their families as refugees, other pay to come to the US just to spawn their unborn, then return to China until the spawns are old enough for schools.

Yes it takes time but this how china works.

I don't know how much more I can dislike China, I completely despise them as it is.

What's a stronger word to use than hate?

Every morning on NBC they do the news & the olympics cause NBC owns the olympics as far as broadcasting. However every morning before the show ends they still celebrate China by having a Chinese cook on making food out on the street with them & the 4 news castors eating it up literally both ways.

Cheers
Ektar

Edit to add I am not discriminate against anyone. But I do have a problem with the border situation, illegals being flown almost secretly across the US no test & no jabs. I do not agree mandatory jabs or test & tests are not accurate & possibly contaminated. I do have a huge problem with how the
border is being NOT handled. I do not remember it ever being a free- 4-all until now & that is a scary situation.
And how is it that Biden has a say or control of other countries...not cool, it's bloody wrong.

Her last name is Gu. Somehow maybe there is a loophole in the rights of sexual preference cover her identifying as Chinese in the olympics. LGBTQ+...G is in there and there is a U after the Q initiated by the plus sign.

I know, it qualifies as a sick joke but there has to be some way to explain the weirdness of this.

Well considering the ratings for the genocide Olympics, national hero might be a stretch for anyone outside of CNN or MSNBC, I for the life of me cant imagine giving up my citizenship to participate for china.

IF what I read was correct all those american born athletes participating for china had to turn in their passports, while I dont wish them any ill I think they are going to regret their choice to ally with a regime with concentration camps, hope they dont end up there themselves.

Already happening in Canada

1. Down with freedom, from the government no less: Check

2. Glorify the Chinese communists- from Canada's PM Trudeau" "I admire China's basic dictatorship": Check

3. Using State assets against political opponents: Canada seizing bank accounts of people that contributed to Freedom Truckers: Check

Well, there are some of the most spectacular athletes on the entire planet competing in sports you don't see every day. I'm not talking about sports which can be influenced by popular opinion, but sports where there is a true "winner". Having been a big time skiier in my past, I love some of the Alpine events because I know just how much unimaginable training goes into competing at that level. Downhill skiing is one of them; just the pure leg strength alone it takes to make one of those runs from top to bottom without stopping is almost unimaginable. But to do it at speeds of 75-80mph where a competitor could easily be killed is on a whole other level.

So yes, I do watch the Olympics. However, it truly saddens me to see the Olympic games turned into a giant propaganda tool. Is this new? Nope, it's been around for a long time, but the BIG difference is...the USA generally didn't champion some of this foreign propaganda like they're doing now. That's a huge difference! But it still doesn't take away from 'some' of the hugely talented athletes who compete in these games, and not just American athletes, but athletes from many nations.

The other thing which saddens me greatly is to see these "non-sports" playing an ever increasing role in the Olympics for politically correct reasons. But again, it doesn't change the level of committment other athletes of "real" sports have attained.

So yes, I watch the Olympics.

I may be the only one, but many of those kids have my respect. They've dedicated their entire lives to rising to that level. Dediated their entire lives to health, fitness, agility, strength and bravery...not drugs, being hoods, and generally bad people. They deserve a little recognition for that. At least that's how I feel anyway.

No, I respect the athletes greatly for the most part. They all spend an obnoxious amount of time training. You have to. I know better than most what you're talking about to train at that level, and I never quite got there.

There are people who look at me like I'm nuts for the schedule I keep now, but I'm nowhere near where they're at.

But I cannot approve of the venue and what they're being put through to compete there, and it shames me to think our own competitors would rather compete for that country than the one that gave them so much because of how our own educators and politicians have decided to treat their native land. These kids would rather compete for country that has concentration camps than their own home.

Sadly China is dominating the Olympic games and making sure they are on top of everybody else, no self-respected Olympian should be in communist china right now.

I am not watching and do not care, the same way that I do not watch any news liberal media.

Well, actually Norway is, but I get what you're saying.

I have to look past some of that out of respect for some of the athletes who don't subscribe to that way of life. You can't hold that against them, it's not like there's an alternate Olympics they can go compete in.

I was loosely (and I mean like checking ESPN every other day loosely) tracking the hockey results... otherwise, I've easily paid no attention to this nonsense. Pretty much same as I paid zero attention to the Tokyo games.

The Olympics are meaningless anymore.

Same response as above this one. It's not like there is another 'alternate' Olympics for all these athletes to go compete in. They either go to these Olympics, or all that training was for nothing (or almost nothing). Yes, they can sit out the Olympics, but it will be another 4 years before the next games.

I don't approve of China in any way, shape or form, but this is where the 2022 Olympics are being held, for right or for wrong.

I don't apologize for watching the Olympics. I watch it for the athletes, not to see China.

This is nothing new. Per the IOC it's left up to the country on who can represent them. China allows citizens and descendents of citizens. The USA only allows citizens.

She is not the first American citizen competing for another nation in the Olympics.

She is not even the only American citizen competing for another nation in this Olympics.

Direct your rage towards mandates, restrictions, and election fraud where it belongs. Don't give into their distractions.

I also lost respect for Athletes when they started to turn their back on the American flag, that tells me that they do not give two rat asses to the US and are all on their own.

Soo beat it, they can take their medals and shove them.
