Am I too late? Did World War III: Return of the Soviets occur yet?

It's actually World War III: Putz Nutz, and you're never too late for sky is falling scenarios.

I think so.

Pretty sure I'm living in a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland surrounded by mutants and lawless cannibals.

Oh wait, never mind.

It's just Portland.

Sometimes it really is hard to tell the difference.

The world has been at war since Cain killed Abel. It’s biblical. Even Roddenberry predicted am early 21st century world war. There are people in the world that know the complete truth.

And their war isn’t China vs the us, it’s them and Satan versus God and a vow to destroy God and his creation.

The bubble is about to burst. Russian and Chinese forces out number the west by a large number.

NUmbers mean nothing when you cant get them to the target country without losing a LOT of them. Large armies are also weak to losing their commanders and them falling apart.

Biden has War Lovers entering a Weekend Long ORGASM today!

Biden says he is 'convinced' Putin will invade Ukraine

President Biden said Friday that he is "convinced" Russian President Vladimir Putin has made the decision to invade Ukraine, telling reporters that he believes Russia will "target the capital city of Kyev."

"As of this moment, I'm confident he has made the decision," Biden said. "We have reason to believe that."

Following two "vital calls" on Friday, one with members of Congress and the other with European leaders, Biden said the "overwhelming message on both calls was one of determination, unity, and resolve," but ultimately he believes an invasion is imminent.

Noting that "Russian troops have Ukraine surrounded," Biden said American officials believe Russia will target Ukraine's capital city Kyev.

Just had my sisters oldest call me to see what I thought.

While obviously I could be wrong, I think this is just another test like from the cold war era to see what biden is made of, biden is using it to try and distract from his train wreck administration, a couple members of nato are falling all over themselves to not piss off the guy that controls the gas that heats so many homes.

If he was going to go, why would you wait till potential opponents are on a war footing, and moving troops into the region.

Also told her since she is in florida pay attention to macdil not what army units are being talked about.

It is weird to see a USA president cares so much about what can happen in another country where we don't even have interests.

MSNBC says President Biden's biggest concern is that Putin will install one of his own people in Ukraine and negotiate a peaceful exit for zelensky.

Garry Kasparov, the chess grandmaster and Russian dissident who chairs the Human Rights Foundation, has often used a line about Putin, that he is not playing chess, he is playing poker, and he is often bluffing.

MacFarlane agrees Putin is a gambler. Staging troops on the Ukraine border was a big bet, “and now he realizes that there’s no jackpot. So what do you do? Do you just walk away? Or do you invade because the clock is ticking, and if you invade, what next?”

The most dramatic expectation is a three sided attack to take Kyiv, a city as big as Toronto, topple the government, and install a regime.

“Putin doesn’t like to get humbled, and Kyiv is a recipe for that,” MacFarlane said.

His view is that, rather than be humbled in Kyiv or fight a costly insurgency in Ukraine’s mountainous west, Putin could do smaller things to declare victory, such as moving the line of control further into Ukraine.

Another option might be to push along the north coast of the Azov Sea, taking Mariupol and hooking up with Russian annexed Crimea. This would both cut off Ukraine from the Azov Sea and go a long way to solving Crimea’s water shortage, vastly reduced by a dammed canal since the 2014 annexation.

“There is strategic merit to that,” MacFarlane said. “If you’re looking for a face saving manoeuvre, that would be one.”
Bold emphasis mine.

This op-ed is the most sensible take I've read on the Russia Ukraine situation. Putin flexed Russia's military muscle hoping it would bring NATO & the West to the negotiating table to grant his concessions, but it didn't work. Now, he can't back down or else look weak.

I could see some limited operation to take a piece of Ukraine, as the article suggests, but no way do I see a full-scale invasion of Kyiv. It doesn't make sense strategically, or domestically for Russia. Ukraine cannot join NATO even if it wanted to, because it's a nation in conflict.

I have never been convinced that Putin intends to invade the Ukraine, but there's no doubt that western media wants you to believe he will. False claims of false flags, and right now on Twitter unverified reports of explosions in or near Donetsk, further muddying the waters.

Invading the Ukraine does not benefit either Putin, the Russian people, or the Ukrainian people, but it would benefit Biden and the hawks in the military who want a war somewhere. The arms industry want a war somewhere, but goading Putin to take the bait will be a very bad move. Regardless of how effective you think Russian military is, Russia has the ability to bring America and all its infrastructure not just to its knees, but to lay it out totally prostrate...and waiting in the shadows is China.

If America is stupid enough to goad Putin to act (perhaps thinking it might win some of Russia's resources?), it will quickly find itself in a no win situation, and a high percentage of damage to the mainland. Russia could roll across Europe quite easily, as NATO's only real threat to Russia is what nuclear arsenal it has at its disposal, and if they use it, the northern hemisphere is gone quite rapidly.

This is just plain ignorance.

This conflict has absolutely nothing to do with partisan politics.

Grow the F up.

Dont know anyone that is saying that, but remember never let a good crisis goto waste.

Are they orchestrating this no of course not, but considering they failed on the border, they failed with inflation, they failed with afganistan, CNN is showing polls that say 6 in 10 of those polled think biden has done nothing. (CNN not Fox)

They desperately need something anything to distract from their epic failures, "beating" putin would be a nice feather in the cap heading into mid terms.

It very much has a wag the dog feeling to it from the american perspective.

I can't see Russia invading all of the Ukraine. But the Donbass region and up to the Dnieper river is a possibility.
You might end up with a return to the bad old days of the Soviet Union with a East and West Ukraine.
And if they did try there really isn't anything to stop them. The Ukrainian army might put up a good fight for a while but they are drastically outnumbered. And NATO and the west have pretty much all but said they won't help, other then selling weapons to the Ukraine.

No. In fact, you'll have to put on your old "suit" at double time and go show the Woke Army how its done.

Cheers
