Hello,

Not the biggest of thread starters here but I lurk around tons.

So anyways to my question in the title, What are Republicans right about?

I was having a discussion with some friends and we somehow got onto this topic and a pretty friendly discussion about this happened after I said that there are things that both parties get right and wrong. I was then called out for what are the Republicans right about and I was only able to think of a few things personally that I feel they are.

Now I am wondering what other people feel they are right about. I hope to keep this only about the Republicans in this thread and MODS if this needs to be moved please move as I was not sure where to post this burning question.

I think you're asking the wrong question.

The correct question is what are we gonna do about the crooked Uni-Party.

mandates are anti American?

Trump wasn't and isn't Putin's bitch?

Biden is an idiot and has been for many years?

There are only men and women, with a very few exceptions (Hermaphrodites)?

Socialism has failed every time?

As far a politicians go, they are all a bit slimy regardless of party, but the republican base has consistently been reserved, non violent (mostly), and on the side of the Constitution more often than not. I'm sure there are plenty of bad things that can be said as well, but that wasn't what you asked for. Never fear though, my ability to see the future predicts that may still happen.

That's kind of a loaded question. Narrow down the scope to some particular topics if you'd like a better quality discussion on the topic. I can think of many avenues here and I'm sure much of this board feels like the same way.

I'll throw one out there...Republicans want a smaller federal government. Less programs. Less taxes. Less government spending. More states rights. Boom. The American citizen doesn't benefit from the federal government agencies being gigantic, incredibly well-funded, and overreaching.

Republicans are just Democrats driving the speed limit. What's the difference between a Democrat position and a Republican position?

About 5 years.

Defunding police is a BAD idea?

Putting Covid cases in nursing homes BAD idea?

In theory, maybe. Remember, it was Bush that brought us the Patriot Act.
There are those that believe he was a republican, but digging through the history of the entire Bush family, I firmly believe the entire family is-and always has been- RINO.

The better Question with a much shorter answer is what have Democrats been right about?

What are Republicans today? Do they even know?

I was Republican for 40+ years -- then the Neo-Con Right took over, and it just got worse from there.

I still consider myself "social liberal, fiscal conservative" -- very supportive of equality in all areas -- but not continued free hand outs.

"Hand Ups" - Yes -- "Hand Outs" -- No. "That which is not earned has no value"

Except that's not the question.

The OP specifically said this should be about Republicans.

If Bush was an actual Republican then why did he support Hillary Clinton in 2016? Why is he on talk shows showing off his paintings and being depicted as a sweet old man in recent years? Why didn't the media tear him a new one over the 2 major wars he instigated?

Bush was swamp creature. An unmistakable RINO.

If anyone was a Figurehead Only - - that would be "W". He ran and was elected on his name.

Cheney ran that presidency -- IMO.

That's what I was kinda looking for here.

Others are saying its a loaded question but that was the question asked to me, I'm just trying to see what people have to say.

The deep state used repubs for empire-building and now we're at the stage where they using dems/libs to usher in the societal control and our social-credit scores.

Red or Blue is just a different kind of tool they use to eff stuff up with.

People talk about a lack of a third party choice. The thing is that there is a third party call progressives that exist in both the Democrats and Republicans. You hear Neo-Con or RINO and Socialist/Commies or Fascist DINO…they are all Progressives.

Nixon, Reagan, GHW Bush, GW Bush all Progressive Republicans

Clinton, Obama, Biden all Progressive Democrats

Carter, Ford, Trump were not Progressive and are despised by the Progressives because of it. Propaganda further sells that position to the masses. NonProgressives before that would be JFK. Before JFK…McKinley maybe?

Progressivism is the Uni-Party.

Not at all was just a discussion that happened and I was curious to see what other people had to say.

I'd ask about the democrats but I feel like I know what answers I will get.

The Right uses the Christian voting block -- the Left uses the minority/impoverished voting block.

No difference. It's about the End Game.
