Love everything about it. I wanted to be an olympian when I was a child, too bad I had no athletic gifts! ha.

I started watching the Olympics and it is absolutely depressing. There is no spark whatsoever. NO SPARK!
There is no excitement.
The athletes seem different too. I know this is during Covid and they are under weird circumstances over there.
It's so sad.
I watched some of the mens figure skating, thinking OK, I know I'm going to see something there. NOPE, NADA.
Where are the souls, where is the lifesource? Something is seriously missing. 🙁

They're in a communist country during all this , the ongoing plandemic, the threat of the 'great reset ' , all of this combined ? The world has become very empty lately , I've been feeling it too

Many of us know about the evils of them now, thanks to the Internet. So knowledge may be the difference, at least in part.

My wife and I are enjoying the Olympics. Try looking on the good side of life.

For the first time in my life, boycotting the Olympics.

Haven't watched. Of course there is no life in it, the athletes have been underfed and terrorized into submission.

I have a Uyghur friend, and in good conscience can not support a nation who wants her dead or sterilized.

It does feel different. Part of it is a lot of people don't want to support China in this, with their Covid 19 influence, and concentration camps.

The American coverage is pretty awful, too much drama! The damn downhill lady wiping out then pouting on the side while a line of competitors behind her wait for her to finish her episode. That's childish.

I'd just be appreciative I was able to compete against the best and keep learning, try to smile and move on.

Seeing someone on the sidelines whos a possible gold medalist get overjoyed when someone does bad since they now know they got gold, that's just tacky. Sorta like seeing a Mahones selling insurance ad in the break of watching the chiefs play, sports has gotten tackier over the years, and shameless.

I would like to see snow bikes on that snowboard cross track or a track built specifically for them. The way the snowboarders just kept going reminded me of a toy track I had as a kid where magnets pulled the cars along the course. Had thought of that toy in nearly 45+ years.

Guess I need to watch the next Winter X Games, as the figure skating, traditional skiing events just don’t cut it. Biathlon was a big draw in the past, but the “OMG Guns” crowd killed it. Last time I saw archery in the Summer Games was the year Gena Davis tried out and created buzz.

But I contend that it isn’t the Olympic Games themselves, but the poor coverage and spoilers on the news ahead of televised event that ruin it. Both times I heard the US women got the gold in their event ahead of seeing it. Happen on both CBS and NBC who is hosting…makes no sense to report ahead like that.
