Surely not to let judges make laws?
Or is that acceptable in canada?
Excessive honking IS a law. It's rather subjective though so this removes any subjective opinion.
Ok
So uh, you won't be complaining.
Noted.
I support what the truckers are doing. Our media tells us they are organized by white supremacists. I dont believe that is true but I do believe that whoever is organizing them is walking them off a cliff.

The signs putside parliament indicate different.
The rhetoric inside parliament indicate the signs outside have only emboldened them

The people inside are supposed to represent those on the outside.

And what did I say about Wapo? "Unfortunately I have to go US media to find a rationale point of view about it."

I support the ban. I'm not in Ottawa but I could only imagine the stress people must be experiencing. It's ignorant. It's one thing after a city wins a stanley cup, but every half hour for 12 hours a day for 2 weeks?
Is that the only way to get noticed?
I hope the protest continues but there is no reason to anger people that don't want to get involved, or they will get involved.
Interesting. I’ve seen many a protesters in the town circle with signs saying “honk for green peace!” Or whatever their cause happens to be. Granted they hardly got much attention the half dozen folks out with hand painted signs... maybe that’s the issue? Or is it simply the wrong issue being honked for?

Some Residents complained about the honking, while claiming the honking is not part of what a peaceful protest is. As a result the court issued a 10 day ban on honking.
This would only make the movement grow larger you already have businesses supporting the movement slowly in other places.
Court issues 10-day ban on honking in downtown Ottawa
"Tooting a horn is not an expression of any great thought I'm aware of," Justice Hugh McLean of the Ottawa Superior Court said. He also said the ban on honking would not rob demonstrators of their right to protest.
But kneeling down to a group is a sign of protest?

Perfectly reasonable, the area has a large residential population, as well as many street front business.
You can hold your protest if you want but don't impinge on local residents just try to live their lives. Go honk outside a government building.
I've had migraine on and off since I was a teenager, having a bunch of trucker blasting their air horns all day would be absolute torture. A week of that and I'd either sue or go on a murder rampage
