"Tooting a horn is not an expression of any great thought I'm aware of," Justice Hugh McLean of the Ottawa Superior Court said. He also said the ban on honking would not rob demonstrators of their right to protest.

I support the ban. I'm not in Ottawa but I could only imagine the stress people must be experiencing. It's ignorant. It's one thing after a city wins a stanley cup, but every half hour for 12 hours a day for 2 weeks?
Is that the only way to get noticed?
I hope the protest continues but there is no reason to anger people that don't want to get involved, or they will get involved.

Imagine the outrage of the unhinged left if a court ordered a ban on burning innocent businesses to the ground
Or if the court ordered a ban on murdering policemen
Or attacking elderly people
But honking a horn, what a violent insurrection this has turned out to be

Guess there aren't existing noise ordinances there?
Perhaps enforce the current laws before inventing new?

How are noise ordinance violations currently handled?
You understand you are supporting judges making laws that no one voted for?
Next time it could be for removal of undesirables.

Surely not to let judges make laws?
Or is that acceptable in canada?

Excessive honking IS a law. It's rather subjective though so this removes any subjective opinion.
