i think he did ok, cept i would have brought a scary assault knife, lol.

and just let them see it, not use it threateningly.

Then one day my daughter gets off bus crying with gum and a tootsie roll pop stuck in her hair. I determined where the offending girl lived, found her home phone number in the white pages and called her dad.
I informed him if my daughter came home bullied or abused, I would meet him in his front yard that evening, call him out and beat his ass.
The bully was driven to school that day forward by her mom or dad. No more convenient bus ride.

Many of these kids will eventually have kids of their own. As parents they often become more tame but the tendency to uncontrolled agression, remains. Who's to say that dad wasn`t one of them once?

A knife to a throat? That's too far.

I was bullied in school too so I can understand the girl and to an extend the father. But that's just too far, you don't threaten kids.

It is a 2 part situation. Kid and Parent. Schools will not do a thing anymore.

First, make sure your child can defend themselves and knows what to do. With girls it is a bit different and some girls are more 'girly' than tomboy. However, teach them. I did. All my kids knew the rules. If someone is bothering you, step 1 is tell a teacher. If they continue, you give them one warning. No threat. No I'm gonna beat you up. Just a 'leave me alone'. If they come a 3rd time start hitting them and do not stop till they are not moving. Don't stop. I will always have your back. It happened to both my boys in different schools. One was going to be suspended and we took it. You should not fight in school but at the same time do not be a victim. We went to a spring training baseball game. Kid never buliied him again.

Second, same thing. Call the parent. 1, ask them nicely. 2, Let someone in authority know. 3, confront them at school and not at their home. I did. I think the parent may have sharted in his pants. 99% of bullies are pussies who have issues and it should not affect you. I was taught is someone tells you they are going to kick you arse you more than likely have already won.

Pulling a knife on a kid. Unless they were using a weapon on my child that is stepping over a line.

Be part of your childs life and make sure they are safe.

Well, apparently this is not the way to resolve matters………….OR is it?
Of course the lily livered girls told on him and got him arrested, but will they bully his kid again, doubtful!!!! Go Daddy!
He sent the message LOUD and clear that he will do anything, ANYTHING to protect his kin, INCLUDING go to jail.

Now I think he should sue the pants off of the school! This is a story about a school, but I think it could be reflected in so many of our aspects of society. Things just don’t work like they should.

If it infact works and they stop the bullying then good for him.

It could of course make things worse as the girls will be aware especially after his arrest that the man isn't going to kill anyone.

The dad took things way too far here. The daughter should have kicked one or all her abusers in the kitty. Fairly sure those girls wouldn't mess with her after enduring that pain!

Sounded more like a promise from a very angry father. One who has reached the end of his last nerve...

Too far?

Hold a crying little girl who sobs words like..."I've never done anything to them, why do they hate me??" Oh, no, not too far.

Knife to the throat of a child, no matter how dull is something a sane person does not do.

There are different options to approach the children, or at best the parents first (he may have tried though) than holding a knife to their thoat.

Just think about it. I was not there and did not see how close that knife was but someone wrote like "sweep a foot" and now imagine a kid approached from behind like that MAY struggle and it could go wrong "blood red" very quick.

You are using adult logic on a kid, this is not a movie. I am not a specialist on holding knifes to peoples throats so I do not claim value to my opinion. It just appears sane.

I'll freely admit to not being in a great state of mind. Angry beyond, almost, my ability to control isn't exactly sane.
That little girl, and her mother, had to do some real fast talking...

Thankfully, I never had to find out if I'd have actually hurt those kids/parents--because where do you think the kiddies learn to think that behavior like that is acceptable??

I make no apologies, and never will. My sisters kids are, along with my sisters, the only people on this Earth that I'll kill for...for them, I'll burn the world to ashes, and laugh as I do it. Hurt them in any fashion, and you've a problem--a very angry one.

Where my family is concerned? May God have mercy on anyone hurting them, because I won't.
