From what I had heard one of them was there just taking pictures. I didn’t think he would get life.

Just remember, the first prosecutors the state tried to assign the case to ... refused it.

Oh ya, prosecutor have NEVER been biased towards police, never happens, nope!

How about Kim Fox?

She should be fired..right out of a cannon.

She'd just end up landing in a red state and cheat her way into office and ruin that place, too.

No, as shown in court McMichael raised the gun at him when he was 20 to 30 yards away and also in his statement to police he said he didn't have contact before the first shot. Arbery tried to wrestle the gun away after the first shot.

Justice served.

You can't just shoot someone trying to walk to their home, in their own neighborhood, because of the way they look.

This guy was not just an innocent bystander at the wrong place. That in no way makes killing him right but let's not pretend he wasn't playing with fire.

There had been no rash of robberies as was shown in court. Mcmichael had his gun stolen out of his unlocked vehicle a few months before. That was the only reported theft. No items were ever stolen out of the construction site at any time, when Arbery was in there or the numerous other people also on video inside.

The video that went viral showed a completely different sequence of events and it was clear that white guy aimed the gun at black guy, black guy grabbed gun and started punching white guy, white guy pulled the trigger. I didn't know there was other video besides what was shown originally. Who recorded it?

None of them deserve life in prison. The was not pre-meditated. It was an accident that came from a poor choice but one that many people could make. Black or white.

If they hunted this guy down and killed him in cold blood while someone recorded to watch it later. Send them to the chair.

What happened is they pulled a gun to stop someone they thought had committed a crime, who attacked them, and was shot while someone was recording to protect their innocence.

Big difference.

Should they have gotten no time. No. 10-15 years for what this truly was, a poor decision, would have been sufficient. I do not think the man filming should do any time. I would say the same if it was my son. No parole for 2 is not justified here.

A tragedy, but once again, one that could have been avoided if the person who is now dead had not done what he did. If he was actually jogging each time and was never on tape inside the house, well, this would have never happened.

What trial did you watch? Lol. I was tied up with the Rittenhouse trial, but the few times I switched over to this one, I saw the video I already referenced, and I saw multiple witnesses on the stand speaking about recent robberies and residents being scared.

Either way, it was a very bittersweet moment for the Reverend Race Baiters like Sharpton, Jackson, Crump, and the many others who were bused in, because they got what they wanted but - at the same time - couldn't scream about the justice system being racist.

If they thought that he committed a crime, you do not arm yourself, chase, block in, threaten to shoot their f***ng head off and at no time tell them you are executing a citizens arrest or mention trespassing, or any type of stopping until the cops get there. Nor as required by law did they see him commit a crime.

You cannot chase and threaten to shoot someone because you THINK as they said "he must of done something".

Looks like you saw the same trial I did, and the same video evidence. Some people on here watched something (heard something) completely different.

As previously stated, it was a poor decision on all of their behalves. But the men were overcharged and over-sentenced.

You couldn't have watched that same one. One neighbor mentioned a break in or car stolen from like 5 years ago. As the judge noted today, the only violent crime in that neighborhood was the murder of Arbery.

There was absolutely no rash of thefts in the neighborhood. The theft of McMichael gun was over 2 months before the shooting.

Well, this is a prime example of why you shouldn't pay attention to the mainstream media... He wasn't walking, he was several miles from his neighborhood, and they chased after him because he was snooping around in someone else's house and there had been a rash of robberies in the area recently. Everyone involved made poor decisions, including the ever-so young black kid who was working towards becoming a master engineer for NASA and an astronaut.

If you could try to look pass color for a second (you seem obsessed with what color people have)
Do you think it is ok for people (color doesnt matter) to chase down other people (color doesnt matter) with guns, and kill them??

Is it ok? is it fair?

Did the person whom they shot, deserve a fair trial instead of being killed on the street?
Your saying the killers didnt get a fair trial, well atleast the got one...

Dont be a racist, it is foolish and you know it

I'm not necessarily saying I agree with it in all circumstances, but I kinda get it. It'd be like if you put someone in a box, and then I shot them. You confined them, which made it easier for me to kill them, so you are partly guilty for my actions.

I'm only arguing 1 out of all these charges.

There was a gun stolen from a car weeks prior to the shooting. Nothing was stolen from the home as reported. Gotta love that media...

So similar to the bias thread then, someone read something that was not there?

What satirical point were you trying to make. I think hypothetical is better

not real : imagined as an example

No big surprise here.
Chase a man down and kill him.
That's murder.

"The three White men who chased and murdered Ahmaud Arbery were sentenced to life in prison Friday in a south Georgia courthouse for the 25-year-old's murder in 2020."

The court system has been getting a lot of them right lately.

www.cnn.com...

Three of them didn't chase him down and kill him. One guy recorded it in case something happened and ended up getting life in prison for it. The one with the shotgun didn't shoot until Armory tried to wrestle the shotgun from him. They were overcharged and over-sentenced, but the justice system had to make Sharpton, Jackson, and the like happy by condemning the white men to the fullest.

Cant hold it against him that he went for the shotgun , easy to say in hindshight.

people respond to a threat differently , fight or flight.

They where with 2 vehicles , they could have followed the guy and direct the cops to him.

They blew up the situation by bringing firearms , their vehicle offered enough protection.

You can't be judge, jury and executioner on a public street thats not how the world suppose to be.

This was mob justice, not actual justice. They gave the neighbor life for video taping it. Literally the dude who created and handed over the evidence, and only went over because he saw his neighbors chasing someone.

You could rape ten people and go to prison for a shorter period of time. That is not blind justice, that is mob outrage justice.

Just understand, when the news does not have to be honest, they can steer the useful idiots and make the mob do what they want to change society. Thats exactly what they are doing.

People operating on emotions instead of acting rationally and logically is the most dangerous thing happening in the world at this moment.

2 months prior the gun was stolen out of the vehicle. At night, with the car unlocked. Arbery had no stolen items when he was murdered at 1 in the afternoon. Nor were the McMichaels aware of any crime. They assumed a crime. I'm not sure how you can possibly come up with any excuse to justify the murder, but feel free to keep trying.

Sounds like you don't like the facts of the case. How do you get life for video taping your neighbors, then handing over the tape?

That's a travesty of justice. There should be protests in the street over it for the basic fact that could happen to anyone, but there will not be. All because the news called him racist, and we are operating on how people feel instead of FACTS and LAWS. What our society has stood for for so long is collapsing. This is what it looks like. Its not the bad ruling, its the fact the 3rd is 100% feeling based to make offended people happy.
