A thought. Don't we have to as of now look at ALL UFO movies as unrealistic?

Buckaroo Banzai

For some reason or another this movie perfectly explains or aligns with ATS conspiracy over the last few months or years.

Wacky science, invading interdimensional beings, crazy politics, and an epidemic spreading due to all of that...

Already mentioned Ravenna but when it comes to Unidentified Flying Objects then the sunburn and EM effects experienced by Roy on Close Encounters were also apparently inspired by events from this 1957 UFO flap.

Don’t know much about that so thanks for the link, I’ll be glad to check it out.

One might be tempted to call CE of a third kind as realistic. But actually, the kumbaya spirit in that movie, which as a whole I didn’t care for, seems to be very unrealistic. It reminds me of the idea that sure they're good and frindly, and would wave to us goodbye with a smile as we incinerate ourselves into nuclear smithereens.

So, I would add CE of a third kind as unrealistic despite the popular lore surrounding it.

It seems it's an addition to; If truth is stranger than fiction; Then it's not in the least bit funny either.

The problem I have with Mel Brooks movies is they feel like they fall apart toward the end/wear the joke out. Spaceballs is okay the first thirty minutes then it gets tedious. Blazing saddles is good until the last twenty or thirty minutes. So is young Frankenstein.
Robin hood men in tights manages to be okay to the end though but still pushing it.

Though I haven't seen this film in its entirety yet...It looks like a good "low budget film":

-"The Giant Spider Invasion --- 1975 --- Original Trailer

Giant Spider Invasion --- Full Movie

Wow. Just wow.

"They came from another world to destroy the Earth."

"movies" like this are why so many people think et / ufos / aliens are a joke / hoax.

Were any of these movies secretly funded by the US government?

I bet if we did an analysis - the more joke UFO / alien movies there are in a given language, the more disbelieving people are of real evidence.

Since more movies (Like this) came out of Hollywood / USA - historically ..that means more English speakers think UFOs are a joke. Empirically we have seen other countries governments more forthcoming with UFOs as a realistic subject.

I was just made aware of the movie --- The Giant Spider Invasion --- being broadcast tonight on the Me-TV Network, with "Svengoolie" - host Rich Koz - American actor - The show airs low budget, classic horror and science fiction movies.

Starship Invasions which is Canada's pitiful answer to Star Wars starring a very bored Robert Vaughn and a very embarrassed Christopher Lee. Cinematic masochists swear by it! One of the worst the genre has to offer
This is the movie with the suicide ray right? If I am correct, i remember scenes where people where bashing their heads on the sidewalks and streets. Funny as hell.

Whats even funnier is I was thinking about this movie the other day. In fact I thought to myself. I wonder if their are aliens out there with a insanity ray pointed as us? Look how crazy the world has become the last year.

This movie came out when I was about 11 years old. never seen it before. This movie would have gave me nightmares back then. Even with the now cheesy effects, but back then for my young mind it would have set me off.

Saved link for full movie going to watch it tonight alone and see what happens, lol
Thanks!

"What's a bathing suit?" - love that line! Too bad 99.99% of the women of the world have been brainwashed into knowing what a bathing suit is.

hahahaha...

Yeah, this one kind of straddles the line between "serious" / "total joke." Obviously the story is not real (Not like CETK or Arrival), but the music / video comes across as "more serious."
