By Public Health standards, Gibraltar is a smashing success; they have delivered enough vaccines to the population to vaccinate 140% of the population, making it the most vaccinated region (British Overseas Territory, in this case) in the world. The people of Gibraltar are looking forward to a wonderful holiday season.

FACT: Gibraltar is the most vaccinated population on earth and has been since June when the State-administered enough shots to cover 99% of the population. They have NOW administered enough shots + boosters to have fully vaccinated over 140% of its population!

Seems a google search shows it is an acceptable usage, so if oldcarpy2 has a problem he would have a deal with the problem a lot further a field than this thread.

Look forward to seeing the world wide correction effort.

World wide? We were talking about Gibraltar.

Moving those goalposts again?

???? You being upset with the usage of 140% in this thread ????
Getting shown it is a worldwide acceptable usage, is moving goalposts, weird.

Anyhow which goals are you trying to score?

At this point, I will give up on you. Take a Maths lesson.

And try to understand that you and I were discussing Gibraltar.

Before you moved those goalposts.

Please also try to comprehend basic Math.

What about Gibraltar? did you discuss? once you were given the numbers you disappeared down a hole of mathematical diversion tactics. When you see a usage of 140% is an acceptable turn of phrase around the world you try to turn it into something else, again.

Next you will deny
Gibraltar has one of the top 5 covid infection rates per million of population despite them administrating enough shots to double vaccinate and boost 140% of the registered Gibraltar population.

Ahem. Gibraltar's population is not even over a million. Even close. Math is not your strong point:

www.worldometers.info...#:~:text=The%20current%20population%20of%20Gibraltar,(and%20dependencies)%20by%20p opulation.

Not sure if it calculates out that way but it can still extrapolate out to per million.

If the rest of the world is measuring per million then low pop countries would extrapolate out in order to compare apples to apples.

Seeing as how Gibraltar's population is less than half a million folk you are talking nonsense.

Take a Maths class. As if you'd pass it.

0 out of 10. See me after class.

See your moving the moving goal posts.
You need to look at the case per million to get the correlation between countries.
Having been to Gib on many occasion and living there I am aware of the population. which is 33,677

So try to not change the subject and stay on the statistical course please .
Total and daily confirmed COVID-19 cases per million people, Dec 3, 2021

Tot Cases/1M pop 218,547
Deaths/1M pop 2,940

You should be happy with those numbers they will be locked down and jabbed for years.

Thank you.

Applied mathematics is the mathematical study of general scientific concepts, principles, and phenomena that, because of their widespread occurrence and application, relate or unify various disciplines. The core of the program at MIT concerns the following principles and their mathematical formulations: propagation, equilibrium, stability, optimization, computation, statistics, and random processes.

Applied mathematics

perhaps some others should try a class.

stop trying to deflect you should try to keep on topic.

Anyone got the latest figures on the covid-19 ICU occupation comparison of vaxx -non-vaxxed. Most links from google seem old.

Did something happen for it not to be relevant anymore?

All figures are suspect now. Whatever happens, we have only ourselves to blame for our own moral incompetence in allowing people to govern us, that are demonstrably unsuited for the task.

Public opinion is changing, quite a few people I know who took the vaccine are regretting that decision and aren’t going to take the booster. Most of the parents I know haven’t had their kids vaccinated. The real extremists who gobble up every government propaganda piece I’ve cut them out of my life.

- Well said

I also noticed.

(But never had the guts for those classes)

You would first work out the quotient. So divide the total population of 33,677 / 1,000,000 = 0.033677

Total Cases per million

Then take the total number of cases for that population which in this case is 7508 and divide it by that quotient to extrapolate the cases per million figure.

7508 / 0.033677 = 222,941.4734091516 cases per million

Total Deaths per million

100 / 0.033677 = 2,969.385634112302 deaths per million
