5th Circuit Court of Appeals Halts Vaccine Mandates ...UPDATED

Maybe there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
As someone who will not get this Vaccine regardless of the bribes, threats or "mandates", this is really good news.
I am hoping this Stay won't be struck down or overruled but, as a Christian, I know what must come.

A federal appeals court has temporarily halted the Biden administration’s vaccine requirement for businesses with 100 or more workers....

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals granted an emergency stay of the requirement by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration that those workers be vaccinated by Jan. 4 or face mask requirements and weekly tests.

Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry said the action stops Democratic President Joe Biden "from moving forward with his unlawful overreach.”

I suspect that from the start they knew a mandate like this wasn't feasible, that it would be contested, and the intent has always been to drag it out to drive vaccination before it's axed. That's why there were insinuations and hints rather than immediate sweeping action.

Once you realize they have zero desire to remain honest then everything starts making more sense. For a long time I thought that, in spite of the frequency of lies, they would prefer to be honest. This was an error in judgement and they don't have what I would consider a normal human preference for truth. It's not about safety and it's not about a worker mandate, a double feign. What is it about?

Does this include the contractor/subcontractor of Fed mandate?

Currently been forced into the 1st shot of poison with the 22nd being the second.

kinda like some of those kids in Willie Wonka, thinking they can do what they want despite the agreed upon rules.

Sadly, this does nothing for Federal and Federal Contractors. It is still get injected or get fired and lose your entire livlihood.
But happy for everyone else. Hopefully it sticks.

I was literally staring down unemployment in Jan., but fortunately it'd be my 7th month at a new job therefore eligible for unemployment if fired.
The job is not government literally but tied to it via vets (I was fingerprinted as part of the background check,) and "rules followers" says our CEO at the Town Hall last month.
"We want you back in the office in January and vaxed. It's the right thing to do," he said repeatedly as if a 30-something financial center CEO is now a qualified medical professional qualified to give advice. Then again, these days, so is Karen, right?
I do ok now but I can't live on 1/2 my income and would have ended up homeless I feared.
Well I'll be honest, it would mean moving back in with my retired parents at 50 yrs old and that is NOT something I'm interested in doing after building a pretty ok life for myself finally.

Doubt it. Your employer can make a mandate, the government cant mandate to all employers though.

As I read this thread I began to wonder, is it possible to find enough conservative lawyers that are willing to put it on the line, and work pro Bono? We would need many many lawyers and citizens to sue the Biden admin, for the attack to our rights as listed in the Constitution.

I kind of feel that if we had enough lawsuits going on, the admin might get so swamped they would be unable to do more damage.

Yeah, I wasn't sure about McMaster and Voted for Yancey McGill.
Pleasantly pleased with McMaster thus far.
I am honestly thinking about challenging Lindsey Graham for his Senate Seat in 2024. Some people might think a "working man" is not qualified but I would disagree. I think we need more blue collar people in government.
The Prime Qualifiers should be if you have a conscience, know right from wrong and will do the right thing.

I've always thought Veruca was a great analogy for a snide, cocky government. Spoiled rotten to the core, and bloated to high hell and back (regarding her ego & entitledness), AND still thinking it's # doesn't stink.

Think back a couple of years ago... a certain POTUS was often accused of "obstruction of justice" for openly criticizing rulings he disagreed with as well as the judges that made those rulings. The media frequently used the criticism as a flash point towards a baseless claim that there was fascism afoot...

Now, today, a different "POTUS" isn't just criticizing ruling, his administration is urging Americans to commit contempt towards the court and ignore the court's rulings... anybody seen the media finger pointing at this fascism? Anybody spotted any loud mouthed women from #hole congressional districts calling this obstruction of justice or contempt for the courts?

For now they seem to have halted the mandates but Biden and its admin is pushing these mandates heavily.

Its not going to be a good looking for these businesses if they proceed on holding these mandates into next year and into 2023.

I wonder how many employers will quit over this when these businesses start pushing for the booster doses?
