I have tested positive for covid the last 7 days.

I was exhausted cause i knew my body was fighting something but my immune system worked as intended. I was asymptomatic only got tested cause the wife who has no immune system was a little congested.

Your wife has no immune system? Or she just gets sick more often than you?

You probably don't "coddle" yourself much. Congratulations. It seems the people who protect themselves the most against germs, have the sickest families. Their immune system is almost non-existent.

My Wife just got back from the hospital from Pneumonia from Covid, after having Her gall bladder removed the week before. I tested postive but as well didn't seem to have any symptoms. I equate most of My minor annoyances (minor aches and pains) from sitting on My a$$ for 10 days and sleeping 10 hours a day (normally I sleep 6).

Congrats on no issues.

Not even sure why people forgot this fact, but >98% of people survive this with just their immune system. I believe the trifecta of comorbidities that have the highest mortality are obesity, heart disease, and diabetes....but I think the largest issue is being in poor health. That will never end well with any sickness.

Glad to hear you are doing well.
Keep us posted.

I think you just nailed it. See, as far as I've heard, pre covid, the reason western countries have a higher level of auto immune diseases is because sometime around the early 90s we all started freaking out about germs. Purrel and all these other alcohol based sanitizers became readily available, cheap and very popular. Ever since then, many Americans have used hand sanitizers religiously, and they do in fact, kill germs. But they do too good of a job, they kill everything with which they come in contact, leaving our immune system essentially off duty. And then when a virus or bacteria does actually enter the body, the immune system goes into overdrive and ends up attacking healthy cells as well. This is also why, In my summation, us people out here in the sticks whom still roll around in the mud and gunk and have been our whole life, fare better than some yuppie in NYC walking around with a bottle of hand sanitizer and a bag of wipes. Our immune systems are well balanced and get used all the time, they've been exercising, getting ready for a fight just like covid.

Absolutely, if doctors would grow a pair, and tell people to stop just injecting themselves with more and more insulin and actually TRY to change, get off their asses and exercise, this would be much less serious than it already is for those 2 percent of seriously I'll.

you nailed it, i am a country boy and use to play outside everyday as kid in the mud, in lakes ect.

I have also been taking 1000mg of vitamin c everyday for the last 10 years. ( not saying that had anything to do with it.)

Ummm...if your wife has "no" immune system she would be DEAD in a matter of days, if not hours! A person cannot survive with "no" immune system, not with all the germs and viruses humans are exposed to on a daily basis.

That, or your wife would live in a hermetically sealed "bubble" with scrubbed and sterilized everything including air.

I think you mean something different than she has "no" immune system. She may be 'immuno-compromised', or have some immune resistance issues, but she is NOT completely without an immune system!

Sorry, but I think there is more to this story than the OP is telling.

Enbrel? If she has autoimmune issues, and her immune system attacks her body, that's different than having no immune system. Her immune system is too active, so the Enbrel would suppress it, but it wouldn't necessarily make her immune system so weak that someone should be surprised she'd survive Covid.

Edit to add: If it is Enbrel, people have theorized that it may actually help people with Covid symptoms.

No, actually I think that has everything to do with it. I remember being a kid and getting up with my grandfather at 4am. He would make me a cup of decaf and I would sit with him and watch as he took his vitamins and herbal supplements. He's 90ish now, he just got over covid. I think he came home from the hospital, where they kept him for observation, about a week ago. They tried like hell to vaccinate him and he steadfastly refused. Though the lot of us are slightly more "sophisticated" than your average redneck/hick, we're still just that, a bunch of hicks, whom apparently figured out how to beat covid and stay happy in the process!

We are just going off what her RA doctor said, she convinced her that her immune system so weak that she bleaches the house every 2 days

She needs a second opinion. What rheumatologist is going to tell their patient to exert themselves like that? RA would make her more susceptible to catching any infection, true, but the way the doctor seems to be framing it is over the top.

That's one theory. I subscribe to the theory that many autoimmune diseases are prion-based and that people get infected in the food supply. It's a whole different picture when you correlate different food consumption with some of the different autoimmune diseases.

Multiple Sclerosis: diagnosed by the presence of an abnormal protein in the myelin sheaths of neurons. Correlates with cow dairy consumption. Countries and regions of the world with the highest cow dairy consumption have the highest MS rates. Countries that do not consume cow dairy have virtually no MS cases. An interesting comparison is North Korea to South Korea. Shared genetics. North Korea does not consume cow dairy. Only soy milk or rice milk. And virtually no cases of MS. South Korea drinks cows milk and MS cases correlate with dairy consumption.

Alzheimers and Parkinsons are diagnosed by abnormal proteins that have invaded neurons. The immune system destroys the neurons with the abnormal protein. Both correlate with beef consumption. Virtually no cases among LIFE-LONG vegetarians.

ALS or Lou Gehrig's Disease correlates to lamb consumption. Areas of the world that eat a lot of lamb have more cases. More impotantly, in areas of the world where they eat every part of the lamb (no waste) including lamb "head cheese" those areas of the world have the highest rates of ALS on the planet.

So basically, if you eat an animal with abnormal proteins (prion-like), then the abnormal proteins invade your neurons. Then your body destroys the neurons infected with the abnormal protein. So what's called "autoimmune" isn't really the immune system attacking itself. The immune system is attacking abnormal proteins that have infected neurons because those abnormal proteins are not supposed to be in the body, nor in neurons.
