The two people counting must need lots of coffee breaks
At this rate, well have results by 2023

What is going on there?

Hellifiknow!

No way it actually takes this long.

County officials spoke earlier about the increased number of drop off ballots on Election Day, and that all signatures have to be verified, then taken to tabulation center for counting. Also the 17,000 in-person ballots that couldn't be processed yesterday due to broken machines.

There was another update at 7:50, with 70% now reporting, no real changes in percentages.

Yes, it is weird. Thanks for posting them.

What source are you using?

ETA: I was using AP... those weren't the numbers I saw right before posting!

The reuters vote map.

Eta.

Reuters has been getting slightly different info from the others.

Plus, its pretty intuitive to navigate.

Kari is still sure she's going to pull it out... I wonder if she's seen these numbers?

I got what may be a dumb question, but I'm axing anyway. Why they hand you your blank ballot initially, is there a series of numbers on it?

Lake, like Dixon up here seems to be suffering from a lag.

What i mean is that everytime they get within striking distance, the gap resets.

Lake, like Dixon got whithing a couple thousand votes only to watch it jump up 10k+ in seperation.

Unfortunately for Dixon, that gap widened to about 200k votes (from within 2k votes) early this morning. Finishing 10 points below gretchen.

The AP numbers have caught up with Reuters. It seems there were three updates last night -- not just one. But only about 7%. At this rate we've got at least 4 or 5 days of counting left. It's nuts.

I guess this is where the rubber meets the road for Kari. She's still sure of a win. We will soon see if she can walk her talk.

Are you asking why our names are not on the ballot?

If so, this is to keep our votes anonymous. We have a right to vote in secret so only we know who we voted for. So no identifying information is on the ballot itself.

Welcome back to The Stone Age of vote counting 😀

The drama is all for MSM time stamping and ad revenue and ratings.

Maybe it all suddenly ends Fri Afternoon 😀

A "Predictor" says The Senate stalls at 50(R) and 49(D) until the GA runoff.

The House gets 223(R)

Kari Lake wins by .5% 😊

No, I understand that but when I voted Tuesday, I think there was a sequence of numbers on the blank ballot before I ever put it into the machine.

Ahhhh... gotcha!

I don't recall seeing anything like that on our ballots. There is a barcode on our mail-in ballot envelopes which is scanned for tracking purposes. I think this is new but I'm not sure.

Perhaps it's something like that? Maybe Google your state and "ballot tracking number" or something like that and see what you find?

Big round of applause for our new Secretary of State -- Fred Flintstone-- and County Recorder -- Barney Rubble.

The Great Gazoo is in charge of all election tabulators!

We're in good hands.

I answered my own question. There are a series of alpha numeric numbers on the back of each ballot in some states.

Ballot Numbering Requirements: The Texas Election Code establishes the following ballot numbering requirements in order to track and account for the total number of ballots used in an election, how they were used, in what locations, and to account for the ballot stock that was unused Any ballots used in a Texas election must be (1) numbered consecutively, beginning with the number “1”, (2) numbered so that a specific range can be linked to a specific polling place, and (3) must be distributed to voters non-sequentially in order to preserve ballot secrecyEach ExpressVote Activation card printer that is assigned to a specific polling place will be given a two to three digit alpha code. This code will be printed on each Ballot Card as it is generated for the voter. In addition to the alpha code, each polling place will print a randomly generated serial number between 1 to 99,999 on the card along with the identifying information related to the election. The system will generate a report showing which ballots (based on their serial number) were used at each location. This report must be retained with your precinct election records..

13 states do not use these types of ballots.
