I fly drones for a living.
I just spoke at the Drone Deploy 2021 Conference.
So some would say I know a thing or two about them lol.
If your in Canada, (doesn’t really matter where you are, but you might find something closer to you.)
Get a hold of Pavan at Dr Drone and Tell him Jason from Impala Mine sent you.
You will get a decent discount.
For what you described, the Mini 2 will serve her well.
Had a laugh at the review of the EXO X7 .... ON THEIR OWN SITE
"This x7 ranger drone is not made or developed by exo or any American for that matter these guys buy stock from a Hong Kong drone manufacturer that
anyone can buy from in less time and 3 times less of the cost the x7 also known as the sqo6 max is 150 dollars and comes with everything identical as
the exo it's the same drone only relabeled exo if you scrape the coating off around the exo the old label is easy to see so disappointing that these
guys are fooling everyone into thinking g they are good guys when they are just selling a cheap made drone for 4 times the cost"
They must be feeding in reviews automatically and this one slipped in as it's 5 stars.
Can't offer to much help unfortunately. I bought my second DJI Mini 2 last month.
The DJI Mini 2 is $600.00, no sound, 4k video, under the weight required for FAA .. needs a smart phone or tablet.
Excuse the mess.
Hold on..
I know of another american made drone with all the same for half the price.
Edit: I can't find it. It might be Skydio. I did see a couple DJI MINI 2's for $124.00😮
I have the original Mavic mini. I paid $500aud for mine, and it was refurbished !! Problem for me is there are so many regs that I can't damn fly
the thing anywhere legally.
But the mavic mini is definitely a top drone, especially with the controller that your phone slips into to act as just a screen.
Just have to make sure if you get a drone, OP, that you look into all the legal fidgy widgy that comes with them, I didn't, and it's sat on top of my
PC case for a year now :/
Yes the regs were a bit much at first, But thankfully the App that you download onto your smart device is aware of the Flight Restrictions and will
inform you. Once I put in the altitude restrictions in, the drone will alert if I'm exceeding it. I actually didn't fly the first drone till 2 days
later because I couldn't figure out how to get the signal to connect to the drone. So I searched YT for help. The videos were long but informative.
Now that drone easy as pie. I love the fact that if I suddenly let go of the controller, the drone will stop mid flight and hover. The return home is
nice too, just make sure not to be near TREES and forget to change the altitude to clear them in the Return Home Autonomous Mode😭.
I'm 5 miles from Pittsburgh International Airport and am very cautious not to exceed the limit. Anywhere outside my area is good to go.
This video is short, but it will give others an idea how high i could go before all the alarms started going off. www.instagram.com...
Keep in mind I have not adjusted the Camera picture quality, nore does this drone have audio. So goofy music is added.

Here's a tutorial for the DJI Mini 2
The Mini 2 should be coming down drastically soon because of the Mini 3 release. Best buy wont wiggle on price. Best to go looking around.

I couldn't find that model either ... but it got me starting to look for reviews on it and deeper into their website and "story" which seemed a little
sketchy.
Took a while to find, but the model it's an OEM of appears to be the SG907 or SG907 MAX. Guess the reviewer made a typo.
Only thing American about the EVO appears to be the guys running the show - maybe they rebrand the software as well. The camera footage looks hideous
even compared to a DJI Spark (despite the EVO having a 3 axis gimbal and "4k").
