Once settled in the United States, refugees are generally in the hands of charity and other volunteer agencies that specialize in resettlement. The State Department’s Reception and Placement Program provides funding to go toward refugees’ rent, furnishings, food, and clothing. After three months, this responsibility shifts to HHS, which provides longer-term cash and medical assistance, as well as other social services, including language classes and employment training. Following the reductions to the refugee admission ceiling, all nine nongovernmental agencies that assist with resettlement have downsized, closing offices or laying off staff.

Its a hell of a predicament, ile give you that, and one that must be managed as opposed to being dumped on the doorstep and left alone to sit there.
We are the government since we keep voting for the same f***tards that started and sustained that war which created the issue to begin with.

Unfortunately that’s true.
Amazing right, 2.3 TRILLION dollars spent for the “war”, but not enough for winter wear for these people.
Most of these people deserve some empathy, we messed up their country and then failed to do something when the SHTF over the summer.

I’m getting low in the empathy department. It’s a hard knock life out there and there are a lot of local people suffering, kids suffering, seniors suffering, Veterans suffering, Afghans brought here by poor political actions is pretty low on my list.
I have enough to go around for all of the above, when that changes is when I should consider ending it all.

I get solicited to give to charity every time i venture in to the town centre from they muppets with clip boards praying off other peoples misery.
End of the day they made charity a business rather than a service in some respects which is why I'm rather ambivalent to contribute.
Fact of the matter remains if you dont wish to give to charity you don't need to.
I would rather slip some poor homeless sod a £10 for a bag of kit or bottle of wine when im in the readies.
At least that way you know the cash monies actually reached the intended target audience without 75% of such being garnished by big business.
