So random topic really, but I am genuinely curious to the answer of why some people are such deep thinkers into the unknown and mysteries of our universe, and why others are not.
The main reason I have started posting on ATS instead of just reading it, is because my other half is getting sick of me constantly talking about the unexplainable lol 😂
But for the past couple of years now all I have wanted to do is learn, learn, learn. Of course I love conspiracies but a lot of what I look into is regarding ancient civilisations, cosmology & astrology, physics, religion, higher consciousness etc. So a lot of it is fact instead of theory.
And the more I learn the harder I find it to NOT speak about. How can I possibly discuss mundane topics like what footballer has injured his leg when I am thinking 'i wander if ghosts are connected to dark matter' lol.
So what are all your theories on why some of us love to learn - and I believe- have the ability to see things for what they actually are.
And why do some of us have no real interest in anything deeper than the surface.

Do you think it's as simple as a personality or psychological explanation, or could it be as extreme as we descend from a different alien race with the ability to understand these things lol (I'm sure a lot of us feel like we dont actually belong here.)
Are the effects of GMO foods, fluoride and chemtrails more prominent in some making them blind to what the rest of us see. Or is it just a case of some being in denial, and fearing that our universe is much more complex than we are led to believe.

Or maybe weed is the red pill to the matrix of reality haha

Side note: everything I've said in this thread isnt to be taken literally I am not someone who pretends to know everything, all of my posts are about learning from others and listening to different perspectives so no need for any muggy comments, some of you on here are gunning for an un necessary argument! Thank you

Sending love and light to you all xx

There are several issues at play in this, but I really believe that the biggest one is just plain ol' laziness. Seriously, thinking is clearly just too much work for some people. It's easier to let somebody else do the heavy mental lifting and stick to easy stuff like eating, defecating and reproducing.

Then, there's the embraced cognitive dissonance. Many people are just too scared to let go their perceived status quo to even consider the possibility that what they were taught in school, at church, on the television could maybe be a cover story or, at best, in complete half-truth.

I live in a small Mexican town and I'm told that there was once a local philosopher here who coined the phrase:

Si quieres vivir días felices
Hazte pendejo y no analices.

A cute rhyming refrain that'd translate to English as, more or less ...

If you want to have happy days
Don't think about stuff and live in a daze.

So many people want to hold on to their perception - be it ever so shallow and ever so false - of the world as stable and safe. Sadly, they do so at their own peril because when the foundations shift, they will not be ready.

I think that these are the two main reasons, and one does not cancel out the other.

I lived most of my life oblivious to life outside what I perceived my reality to be. Throughout my life, I was far too buisy trying to survive to be concerned with worldly problems. And my dear Lord, it has been one tough journey getting to where I am now.
I was laid off my job January 2009, I filed for disability, for legitimate medical reasons, and have not held employment since. Actually, that financial crash was a blessing from God for me. I was 59 and knew I would never make retirement at 66 the way I was.
Soon after I was laid off, I started expanding my interest in a more broad manner where I started to realize the jeopardy we were potentially faced with if our current course didn't change. Not long after that, I started to prepare for Armageddon.

But I think there are others. I know there are many, many others that have no control over their logical process because the emotional side of their mind literally overwhelms the logical side. Is it a physical defect, or is it an acquired psychological defect? I do not know.

But I do know this, when a person has experienced enough personal suffering through this life, eventually, every person becomes logical, or dies.

Some of us get distracted or trapped in the game of life.
Some of us get decieved and derailed by others.
Maybe some of us are just part of the simulation or npcs, or simply not the same as the rest of us.
Some of us want to explore and understand and look for values and truths outside of the mundane, see past the illusions and/or have some deeper need not being met by it that pushes us, unable to ignore or simply play the game.

It can be a combination of inborn quality (your origin), environment, how much you have filled your head with the puddin' of modern society, and just timing. Generally once you start exploring, you don't stop. As things continue to play out, there will be more obvious things to clear away the distractions.

Introspective thought takes time, not everyone has the luxury to wool gather in thought, they can only just "exist" because that is all they have time for.

Some of us are more predisposed to thinking...its my belief this is a mechanism built into our psychology. Just like the reason night owls exist despite survival of the fittest mantra's. These people exist because someone has to watch the village while everyone sleeps.

The mysteries lurking behind our reality is absolutely mindblowing and terrifying at the same time. To think that even after thousand of years of acquiring knowledge and making history, mankind is still completely oblivious to the truth of his own existence but has it always been this way? And is it merely by chance or by design?

One of the greatest realization of my life was when my eyes was suddenly opened to this simple truth-
Humanity is all part of a family and share a perfect bond between each other. They are very much alike and ultimately strive for the same things and yet, they hate and destroy themselves with such hatred over and over again and all of this for what? Power? Money? Greed?

It's such a shame when you think about it. We could accomplish so much more if only we could try to understand and accept our differences, which is a blessing in the end. If we were in a homogeneous society things would get boring real fast, right?
So what makes mankind rages wars after wars when it only leads to destruction and suffering knowing they would gain so much more by uniting?

Well, it seems like there are some beings in this universe that would lose a lot by letting us just do that. So they do everything in their power to divide and conquer. They've been doing it since pretty much the dawn of time (thus all the violence and bloodshed in our history books) and now it seems its coming full circle. The Covid hysteria and the total control and push to division between us is pretty much them going all-in.
I feel like this is the ultimate test for all of us...

Will you feed evil and believe in the lie (when its so obvious) or will you find a way to overcome your demons and fight for what's good in this world? Some people might have a certain advantage or some might have an handicap in order to truly see what's going on but in the end we will all have the same opportunities to make our choice.

I think it's a characteristic we are born with. I have been obsessed with learning (not necessarily academia though), and have been a deep thinker ever since I can remember, even as a young child. I was quite the day dreamer as well. When I meet people that are different than me in this area, I think several things:

Take it easy on them, they are not like me
They are extremely dull
They do seem basically happy
They're not necessarily 'shallow' but they're simple people

Sometimes I feel sorry for them. Sometimes I feel sorry for me. I don't think it makes me smarter but I do think it makes me wiser and having more common sense.

LoL someone who smokes weed would think that
.

I think it has something to do with Reincarnation , People who have been here before feel the energy of it all and deep down they know the Truth .

New Souls are on the other hand naive and have very little insight of the World around them .

That or its just willful ignorance .

We live in a world of narcissists,
seriously.
Narcissists are oblivious to the world around them,
being self centered does that (oblivious of other).

Excellent question. First the modern education system is not designed to train thinkers, but rather compliant slaves. Second the flouride in most of the water supply is wildly successful at making people docile and passive. Third there is a veil that is lowered over the human consciousness upon entrance into life on earth, but it is thinner for some, making it easier to pierce or shred entirely for some. Why is that veil thinner for some? Because it must be.

The Ones who See and the Ones who Dont

I think in the most basic terms it becomes "The ones who look, and the ones that don't".

To see, you must first, look. That might sound too simple, and really it is. So simple a act that virtually every one takes it for granted. What we do not realize is our "Looking" has been hijacked by supplying us "Things' to look at in a diversionary manner. TV, Media News, Political battles, Religious and educational programing, etc. We end up only "Seeing" what is presented for us to see.

What causes us to "Look" in the first place? Inspiration! You can not see what isn't there. But, you can see what is, if you are inspired, to look for it. I have seen many things others can not, not because I'm special, or a divine emissary, but simply because I looked.

I was inspired by Jimmy Brightinsight to look at the Richat Structure, and because of that inspiration I discovered buried structures no one has seen in thousands of years. I didn't see what wasn't there, I saw, what was. From that I searched the surrounding area and have discovered a lost civilization hidden in time and thousands of years.

The problem with seeing is, there is just not enough inspiration making it to the people , to have them care enough, to start looking for themselves.

It is quite difficult a task overcoming those who wish for mankind to stay "Blind" to the truth. So, those people who can "See" end up dedicating themselves to exposing these hidden, and buried truths. Those group of controllers I call the "Box Makers" for they encourage people, not, to look past the limitations set before the eyes of the people.

Mental attitudes are shaped during childhood. As a 10 year old I saw other kids dividing in to the curious and the non-curious. I have no idea why but that is a fact of life to me now. I will add I think it as to do with a love of reading. I know some very intelligent people who hate to read but their knowledge base is never as big as those who like to read. For me it's a life-long compulsion. Life would become intensely boring without new input.

Some people are born to be scientists and others science projects. Okay, maybe not so extreme. But its the same concept. Some people just have a natural curiosity, a desire to reach into the unknown and pull out an answer. Others are content to be indifferent and able to leave the question unanswered. Personally, that drives me crazy. My entire career was spent in R&D looking for answers. Its part of who I am.

I think it is the way people are 'hard-wired' to be predisposed to a certain behavior. Some people come across a question like, "What was the name of the rabbit on the Garfield Goose show in the 60's?" They shrug and say, "I don't know," and that is the end of it. As for me, I cant sleep until I know the answer.

By the way, it was Romberg Rabbit.

The way you wrote this for some reason brought focus to what I know in
my spirit to be truth. A lot of clarity comes from looking at humankind all
thru history always destroying each other without ever once in his time
was there a time when all mankind collectively decided to outlaw the worst
of himself. Surely we have never been ignorant that war and greed and lust
hoarding the love of money, are all evil things.

And from what I deduce there should have been at least several points in
history where all men recognize the futility and refuse to slaughter each
other. And he is intelligent enough and not lacking compassion IF HE IS
100% HUMAN. There is missing a time when men declined to rob and cheat
and steal from each other in a world where there is enough to go around
for every human being.

So for me it simply doesn't make sense that we are all the same.
I believe a part of the original human race has been seeded in every
diverse ethnicity with residents not completely human in everyway.
This introduced seed lacks the one trait most essential to be human.

These people are known in this modern era as psychopaths. And what is
lacking in the psychopath? Entropy and compassion for ones fellow human
being. And psychopaths as we know always gravitate to power. Further
their lust for power often drives them to become serial killers. Now
traits like compassion come from the soul or spirit. And despite the
secular view that remains the easiest way to explain certain human
identifiable traits. Now by that seed man has become to corrupt to
ever find peace in the misguided world that seed of the corrupt has
hijacked.

Do you see where I'm going with this? Our whole world is run by
psychopaths always working together to divide us and have us
slaughter each other. When they aren't murdering us themselves.
It's always been this way and it will never change because they
are of "Their fathers seed and he is a liar and a murderer".

I gave you your first star, and in my opinion there should be 100 more!

What you describe, is the true missing link. It is a covert enemy agent. It is a designed control mechanism. It is a demon walk in. It is a human, minus the being. But for the most part, it is a choice to do good, or evil.

Why is it that humanity does not have a uninterrupted retelling of its origins and past?

These "creatures" you mention are on all levels of humanity, in all walks of life. But, have more attributes than you shared. They pretend to have all the attributes of humanity, the greatest actors that convince us they are the real deal, but in reality, just actors! Human Chameleon's! They talk the talk, but can't walk the walk.

Some people are prescient. They see without seeing, they know with knowing. They are tapped into the quantum miasma, they may be considered odd, or different with a predilection for tinfoil fedoras by the uninitiated. Yet they can connect the dots before others, and divine the direction of events and their consequences. It's gift and a curse.
