The world needs to evolve though. The author's mindset represents typical patriarchy mentality.

A qoute which is typical of patriarchy. That women are here only to be simple wives and mothers.

But notice the date of the book. Early twentieth century. The world did move on from that when more women began going out to work (which was an effect of the world wars).

Here in Australia, my advice to my son in the matter of brides is to choose a European girl which includes the Russian girls.
