You should look up the definition of a vaccine.

So why the reports of people admitted to hospital after overdosing on ivamectin bought at a pet shop?

I'm guessing these people taking it in this manner are not the brightest of the bunch.

And given the internet is awash with miracle stories of ivamectin it's possible they are not aware of its toxicity if administered incorrectly.

Some poor sods have ingested Ivermectin meant to be injected in to animals and ended up in the ICU.
