Its even worse than you imagine do you know who they gave the names to? His name is Mohammad Omar and he was the inspiration and mentor to Ossama Bin Laden. So the man that inspired ISIS now has the names of US personnel in the country. He is setting up for the largest hostage crisis the world has ever seen.

Anyone who still there after aug 31st will be declared a spy. They will send out capture orders hunting down any Americans still there. And watch they will hold them in Bagram and then the demands will start.

Just remember i said this and i will be starting my new psychic hotline soon. lol

Developing and deploying are two widely different things. Your article only states they're in development, and going by the video in your link that technology is hardly mature. It looks nothing like an actual Osprey in operation, the comparison is only drawn for the benefit of the layman. Below is a picture of the drone your article is talking about.

Do you have examples of them in actual deployed operation?

a reply to: Timucuan

Much of the pay was to ghost soldiers, which was certainly a bigger problem. Yes, they had a reason to fight: to defend their nation. However, when their access to satellite imagery and air support was removed it made that fight nigh unwinnable for them. Why do you think so many of them fled, taking a lot of equipment with them?

And not knocking the previously mentioned airframes, just saying that anything they got is nothing like the examples you provided in scope of operation, technology, or communications.

Their air support didn't go anywhere, I just listed the aircraft that we had given them.

You seem to still be missing the entire point that now Biden has given the Taliban an air force. A friggin air force in the hands of the Taliban! I guess we should thank God that Afghanistan is landlocked or else he would have given them a few carriers and a boomer!

The point of my thread was that it is all in the hands of the Taliban, and why is that? Because Biden decide to make a deal with the Taliban, show his cowardice, retreat and surrender all of that equipment, not to the Afghan Defense Force but to the Taliban. You know, the ones we've been fighting for 20 years.

As far as the Osprey drones, google is your friend.

Sorry, I guess I missed this post. All that really matters is the last five words though.

... a surrender of our assets.

They were not our assetts. They were Afghani assets. Yes, we bought the toys, but they were not ours.

And no, not all of those aircraft are with the Taliban. I already mentioned in a previous post they had terrible readiness for their aircraft, both fixed and rotary. Several aircraft, notably the A-29s, made it out of the country. And, for what it's worth, having the hardware is useless if you don't have the pilots qualified to operate it.

And, as mentioned, a lot of that air support fled to Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. What remained was in an unready state. And no pilots. Biden didn't give the Taliban an air force. They may have some aircraft, but it's hardly a force of any kind. And, again, even more worthless without the pilots. To elaborate farther, they are even more useless without the ground support.

Yes, as I said in a previous post, it is shameful that the Afghanis abandoned it. However, that was their doing. Not ours.

I've done my due diligence. Burden of proof lies with the one making the claims.

At least President Joe Biden won't sit idly by. He is vowing to hit ISIS-K hard in Afghanistan.

President Biden Vows to Avenge American Deaths: www.nbcnews.com...

Hopefully he waits until the evacuations are completed, and then sends in the exploding drones.

From 2019 - Here is a good USA Today write-up about the growing danger to the U.S., from the ISIS-K terrorist group, based out of Afghanistan.

April 2019 - Intel Warns of Emerging ISIS-K: www.usatoday.com...

Go get em Joe!

You’re right it wasn’t going to be easy regardless of who is in charge. We may disagree on who’s more at fault. But we can agree about the unfortunate and unnecessary loss of life. I kinda feel like people should use this exchange as an example. We disagree on things. But there are important things we can agree on. There is always common ground.

Historically, military and political incompetence aren't illegal. But there is no excuse for the lack of contingency planning concerning airstrikes against captured stockpiles of equipment. Specifically, the failure to ensure that the Afghan Air Force elements entered "training exercises" in Australia or another coalition country is noteworthy. The aircrews and aircraft might have remained overseas, removing the risk of them falling into enemy hands.

Yeah tell that to a judge who can send you to prison for criminal negligence. That would be the charge I would level at him. And Im not calling you out, just pointing out that sometimes incompetence is criminal.

The terrible thing that's going to happen because of this. The US looks so stupid and ineffectual terrorists the world over are going to be encouraged by that. Maybe that's why Kamala said to do your Christmas shopping early. Daily explosions. Blood in the streets. Etc. Etc.

I hope you're well armed. You may need it.

The U.S. military droned the ISIS-K attack planner into the land of 10,000 Virgins tonight.

I hope it doesn't make them mad. It's not good to provoke terrorists. (Is What Democrats believed from Jan 2017 to Aug 2021)

Why did they do that? It seems like a dumb idea considering he would have been better off apprehended alive and "interviewed" to find out what else is in the works or don't we do that sort of thing anymore?

Seems hyper convenient they just all of a sudden had the intel oh where to launch a rocket who did they capture and torture that quick to get that immaculate intel?

Chances are another attack is already planned and being deployed as I type. They will be extremely lucky if they don't lose an evacuation plane on take-off from a stinger missile. And at least a couple more suicide bombers where they least expect it. And a quick intense mortar attack that puts a number of craters in the runways and they might not be able to evacuate.

Remember the Alamo.

Evacuating 100,000 people and pulling us out of Afghanistan is no small feat.

If you’re condemning and blaming the current president instead of condemning the Taliban and ISIS 2.0 (IS-K), you’re on the wrong side.

Rally round the king!

Not a king. Just an administration trying to clean up a hell of a mess.

You're on the wrong side here.

If questioning my elected leaders and holding them to account for their actions or inactions puts me on the wrong side then I don't ever want to be on the right side.

Mortar fire wouldn't be the best way to go about it. I don't want to lay down how I would do it because I don't want to give anyone ideas.

Blow enough holes in the runway and they are stuck there in a no win situation. And what exactly could Biden do if a day or two later aerial photos show piles of bodies laying all over the airport with no signs of life?

Hopefully Biden would have the sense to resign and run like hell into retirement before one of his bodyguards decides he needed to be fired.

That's similar to what I tell the Bible people who say God allows his children to go to hell for not doing what he says. Any Dad like that is not worth a dime.

What's crazy is that ISIS-K terrorists have been shooting at the planes and their tires since the blasts yesterday. Yet the Taliban who Biden trusts so much, doesn't stop them.

Because mortars require quite a bit of skill and its a team sport, it also involves a form of communication between an observer and the shooters. At the air base they have a phalynx system which is basically and array of high caliber mini guns with a form of aerial sensors that literally when active shoot the holy living * out of anything lobbed in the area.

A rocket team with a good vantage point would be way more successful because it is less moving parts but even one of them are exposed and escort aircraft would almost immediately send those people into oblivion.
