The Catholic religion has the daily sacrifice of the mass. Some alleged prophets clam the abomination of desolation is a false ecumenical mass where the real presence is missing. The temple of God, to me, cannot plausibly be a place where people offer up animals (the rebuilt Jewish temple in Jerusalem)--and which has been taken away soon after Christ ascended: for the abomination of desolation is a sign of the end of the world.

The things that happened to the Hebrews in the OT somehow are a type of what will happen to the People of God in the NT.
