But I am sorry to tell you that the manipulation of populations with lies and deliberate misinformation has not only been a staple for regimes for thousands of years but is happening right at this moment in time in several countries, for you to check out.

From Roman emperors who gave out false info to save their asses, to Kim Il Young telling everyone his family are literal gods. From Hitler and East Germans writing about it, to Russian whistle blowers teaching us the best ways to do this.
From books that get into incredible detail both about how to do it and why it works psychologically on people and the accounts of those that experienced it by themselves.

Really, you believe naively that all of the above, all the absolute 100% evidence for you to look at, that there is nothing to see, we are all just dumb and so are our leaders?!?

I agree that some politicians lie all the time. Unfortunately, the biggest BS'ers tend to rise to the top under some systems of selection. Recent history is a clear example.

Exactly!

Conspiracy theories are the new gods - and invented for the same reason: to try and makes sense of a chaotic and inexplicable world. Because it's easier for humans to accept that some thing / some one is responsible rather than acknowledge that sometimes, # just happens, and there really is no rhyme or reason for it.

However .... I do have no doubt that the media do manipulate the news and public opinion. Sometime intentionally, sometimes I am sure because they are paid/persuaded to do so, and sometimes maybe without even realising the consequences of their decisions on which story to lead with, which to hold back for a "slow news day" or which side to take .....

Yes we are talking movies. In history movies have always been the medium to spill the beans in a covert way. Or books before movies. Think Watership down for example. It is a story about animals and hence it was allowed, but really it wasn't.
Movies come in a variety of reasons. Some are just for entertainment, others to make you think deep about our existence or the possibility of aliens, yet others are done by very smart people that have knowledge of something not everyone is supposed to have. So we get the film 'They' or other Carpenter movies such as 'Eyes wide shut', which are absolutely not just fiction but are presented a little like that because if he just came out with it, he'd be ridiculed.

There are many other films like that by people in the know who are trying to wake us up. Again, you can't possibly say it's all made up, because some of the truths spilled in films have started to come to light and verify the hidden messages.

I totally disagree that every entertainment is just made by idiots for idiots. Some are, but a lot are definitely not.

How ironic to think that nowadays "woke Hollywood" is trying to match the official leftist narrative of the "woke news" channels like CNN. It just seems to be that almost nobody is watching either of them.
Especially since the "fascist villain" Trump is gone CNN ratings have dropped even more alarmingly, and as the recent Academy Awards demonstrated virtually nobody had seen or even heard of the movies they were awarding.

But yeah the entertainment/news superstructure still tries, I suppose ...

I came across that episode last year and it's a gem. Creating the news - before it happens...Fake news, fear, manipulation, steer the herd, BUT...there is a catch if he doesn't join the club. Essentially this reveals what Operation Mockingbird had done and still does. Certainly, this episode is more pertinent now than it was in 1968. Where does the CIA find its puppets? Hollywood!

I'm not really sure its the same. The written word of John 1:1 does not create pictures in my mind anymore, may have when I was 17 and started to read it for the 1st time.( Newly Baptized Christian )

I then around 27 read the Urantia book and it did create pictures because of its sci fi nature, a bit like the Book Of Mormon.

Having studied the methods of Hubbard ( Scientology ) I would not be able to go back and read Urantia.
