There was another incident of a 73 year old senile white woman whose shoulder was also dislocated badly.

The cops are out of control, and they have zero compassion or empathy. There’s been so many incidents that seem like its escalating.

Then they laughed about it. Scumbags.

Careful, you'll offend the badge lickers here!

Here's another one..guy was skitzophrenic

The black cap that prevents it from being opened before you buy it.. Which appeared to still be on the full bottle. I've never seen those caps on the east coast...only when it lived out west. Usually found from places like drug stores, grocery stores and those sort of places which sell liquor.

Well it sure didn't look like they wanted to kill him...I mean they tried to save him so that kind of defeats the purpose yea? Bad things can happen to one when they resist arrest...its a side effect of a poor decision. Do officers need to pull health records for the guy who refuses to show ID...hows that work. Or do they just not do their job now?

The whole scenario was not even necessary. Why the **** are they asking him if he has ID? They never once mentioned if he was suspected of committing a crime. He was on public property but his crime was making that pussy's wife uneasy.

Never had his hands in his pockets.

Nor a smug look. His look was aimed at the squallers who showed halfway into the situation and tried to tell the police how to do their job. Ahriman's post just proves he knows nothing about that case besides what he heard on The View.

Ahh..so he was just performing for the crowd, rather than properly doing his job..got it!

Chauvin is where he belongs!

Not sure what world you live in but next time a cop asks you for ID tell him you don't have one and see what happens to you. Then when they inevitable arrest happens...go on and resist it and report back.

If the cops were wrong the literal worst thing you can do is reist and fight on the spot. I honestly don't think he was doing anything wrong either...well aside from possibly stealing some booze...but once you resist they are going to restrain you. I mean what do you think...they just gonna be like oh he doesnt wanna go lets just stop trying and leave...lmao

It's even better when the fake patriots/freedom lovers on ATS endorse it.

Nothing better 'happen to me' because it's a civil rights violation to demand ID. Another person who doesn't know their rights...this is why we see police behaving in this manner, people like you let them.

ETA: And just for your edification, California is not a 'stop and identify' state unless he was suspected of committing a crime when they did not say he was on the video. Also, not one state in the country requires you to produce ID, only that you identify yourself under certain very stringent requirements if at all.

I can tell you what will happen ...they will arrest you until they can figure out who you are...and if you resist they will restrain you physically. It happens 100s of times a day all over the country and 99% of the time no one dies...they aren't responsible for knowing your health state or conditions that's not their job...

In New Jersey they cannot ask me for my ID at all. They can ask me to identify myself IF I am suspected of committing a crime.

FFS, you don't even know your own rights and you're trying to tell me mine.

I'd say the antitheft device on the full bottle he had would be pretty good cause to suspect shoplifting and at that point asking for ID is within their right. But yea let me listen to the armchair lawyer who tells me I don't know my own rights. Smh...have it Cochrane...I got better things to do...

Nope. If that was the case they would need to inform him that was the reason. Try again.

It's always amazing to watch people piss their rights away via ignorance and a desire to support the state. This is almost beyond belief that you cannot grasp the simplicity of the matter, if the police were able to require you to produce ID on demand that would mean every citizen would need to carry 'papers' when they left their home. Just wow, bro.

What the cops failed to recognize was Gonzales was probably a 100 lbs or more overweight. He had extreme pressure on his lungs and heart simply being laid out on his stomach for a length of time. Clearly there needs to be a new policy instituted where suspects should not be kept on their stomachs for more than a minute at most. That would have saved Chauvin's rear.

Resist hard enough and you can give yourself coronary arrest. He didn't stop until his heart did by all appearances. I didn't see any wrongdoing by the police although I agree the reason for calling them in the first place was rather specious.

Requesting ID is not permissible in California unless he was suspected of committing a crime which they never said he was.

Most states, drinking and open containers in public is a crime.

Guess you didn't watch the video, brohan, he wasn't drinking in public. It's always a good idea to educate yourself about a topic before speaking.

ETA: Kevin called the cops because, "He's not doing anything wrong. He's scaring my wife."

Does he have shopping baskets full of open containers next to him? You failed to address my full quote.

I see open containers. The definition of an open container is a alcohol container that may or may not have the lid on, but is not completely full and sealed. i.e. a partially empty liquor bottle with the cap on is considered an "open container".

www.gorelick-law.com...
"Like most states, California has prohibited the possession and consumption of an open container of alcohol in public places as well as in automobiles. If a person has an open container is on the streets, they may only be given a ticket. However, if an open container is in a car, the penalties are much more severe."

"Under California law, BPC 25620, it is an infraction for any person to possess an open container of alcohol in any public place. This applies to any can, bottle or other receptacle which has been opened, or seal was broken, or the contents have been partially removed. “Public” applies to any city or county park, city or county owned public place, recreational district or open space district."

good idea, I'll just keep my empties with me, in a troly so as I drink them, I can say "Shorry offisher, theshe are collected bottlesh of empty alcohol." and not expect to be asked questions.

Spoken like a true statist apologist. If someone's walking around with a couple baskets of empty bottles I'm not giving them any concern, unlike the buffoons who think this is a police matter.

Oh ffs...

whatever, I'm done bothering to even read your diatribe. I'll leave you with a tip. If it's illegal to have an open beer in public, and you have a cart full of empties, and are drunk... you'll be asked questions.

goodnight.
