I see the Satan part now. Again, not in the artist. She is persicuted into using Satan as an opposition to religous people. Hit her over the head enough with the Bible and some of it will sink in, sometimes not the part you wanted.

I still think the whole Tipper Gore thing back in the 80's is pretty hilarious.

After they started the 'Parental Advisory: Explicit Content", many bands/artists started to make sure they did enough to qualify getting that warning. That label just helped to sell albums.

Disney Studios once sent a porn movie in a Disney production case to the MPAA .
They returned it with a G rating....
They got tired of the G rating and actually put "damn" in the movie "The Black Hole" in hops of an R rating
They got a PG.

I went and checked her out after I read this thread. Not my kind of music but I'm sure the site traffic didn't hurt.

It's called freedom of expression.

And incidentally, when you say freedom of religion, you also are saying freedom for the Church of Satan, Muslim religion, and every other religion, not just Christianity.

So when you make laws, keep that in mind.

Outrage has always worked, from film, music, to politics. Get a person all frothed up in anger and they’re easy to manipulate. To believe something, to buy something, whatever.

It’s been going on for so long I’d hope most people would be able to see when they’re being manipulated by it. But I guess a lot of people love the feeling so much they don’t care.
