Login to the Florida DMV and request a new license or a copy of your license. Have it send to your old address- if your mail is still being forwarded.

I'll have to deal with it sooner for passport renewal this year, but the point being it's currently not as difficult as the OP is making it out to be. What they tell you over the phone VS what they accept at the DMV varies as well. The people on the phone tell you to bring every document you can, when in reality the DMV actually requires far less if all you need is a DL to legally drive. The next election is far enough off that having the temporary license should more than enable them to attain all the lost documentation for a REAL ID.

Go to the Social Security office first because you don't need anything to replace that. Step 2. open a beer and walk around the jailhouse until you get arrested for public intox. Take your ss card and court documents to get your drivers license.

I think it's pretty racist to assume minority persons aren't smart enough to get an ID, or use the Internet.

Liberals keep perpetuating that stereotype, because it fits their hypocritical narrative.

Been there done that...you need to get a replacement social security card first. That leads you to getting the birth certificate...and once you have those 2 things you shouldn't have any issue getting the license or ID with day a lease or electric bill in your name.

Nobody here seems to get it. The OP is trolling all of you trying to convince you all that it is sooooooooooooo difficult to get an ID. Because nobody should need one to vote and they are trying (unsuccessfully I may add) to prove how "hard" it is....right.

Very likely LOL wasn't the first time I've been trolled and it won't be the last. IF this is the case being posted in the Political Madness forum is clue #1.

Well this is not a troll.

My sister in law had her purse stolen over a year ago. She has been running around all that time getting documents, filling in forms, making statutory declarations, getting more documents... AND STILL HASN"T GOT HER ID.

It took SIX MONTHS to get her birth certificate. She went in with what she thought were all the documents she needed and they said but the application says 'Jones' and the birth certificate says 'Smith' - what's going on. So she had to go dig up her marriage certificate, couldn't find it applied for a copy, and then (thankfully) found it before it arrived. And that's only part of the run-around. She found her old passport, expired for 30 years, and that didn't help her at all.

She might have actually jumped through all the hoops now but with her luck somebody will probably steal it out of her mailbox.

That sucks you lost that documentation... however for people who haven’t lost all those important documents, it’s really easy.

This box had my id , my driver license, and my birth certificate inside.

You seriously are trying to say you put your drivers license in a box and lost it?

You are a liar.

I had an ex who needed certain documents...

If you've misplaced your whole identity, check out the local IRS building.
It's actually pretty amazing how much information a government sponsored unconstitutional agency can give you.

Do you remember the last three places you worked and your name? They remember every place you legally worked, your name, your relatives, where you were born, every place you've legally lived, and every detail you'll need to get an ID from the DMV.

The good news is that if you don't bother, you can always just lie about your identity and vote twenty times anyway.
The bad news is without ID you can't rent a place to live, get a job, buy smokes or beer, register a vehicle...
Christ I probably need to show ID three times a week just to live, and I hate all that it stands for.

I had a suspicion that could be the case. Especially when OP was saying that he definitely understand how difficult it is.

If that is the case it's #-tier trolling.

Multiple people have given good info on how to do get it done, and if as an adult someone can't figure it out then that's on them.
If that's the case than the OP is more of a dunce then we thought, look at all the valuable info to get your items back?

Hell even I can I search for something without having to make a whole thread on it, seems like the OPs aim was something other then their plight.

Never let a good tragedy go to waste, huh?

Trolling would make sense.

I mean, how do you lose all your stuff at once?

A very important box? did it have your wallet in it?

Sure, I've got an important box- its a small safe that wouldnt leave my side if I moved... it's got silver, cash, titles to my various vehicles, my expired passport, old drivers licenses, birth certs, etc etc etc.

but even if someone up and stole it, I've still got my current drivers license in my wallet- and I know my SSN.
Someone could steal that safe the day before an election and I'd still be able to show my government issued ID and vote.

SSN should be required to vote. if you don't have a SSN, you clearly aren't paying taxes- if you aren't paying taxes then you shouldn't get to choose where those taxes go.

What? You seriously want him to proceed through four steps to get everything he lost? FOUR STEPS? Do you realize how oppressive that could be to be expected to complete FOUR small steps??? OH MY GOSH!

Parents don't have it. I had the only physical copy.
I don't have any forms of id at the moment except printed copies.

I wish they would except the printed color copy of my florida driver license but they wont.

I was told my parent can get the real copy of my birth certificate so I'm going to try that next.

Why do you have a printed color copy of your license? And if you have that then tell the FL DMV to send you a new one based on you DL number.

If there is another excuse then I will call BS on this whole story.

I dont know a single person that would have oddly decided to pack their ID and all identifying information into a box for a move. I mean you had to consciously take it out of whatever place you normally had it, wallet/purse etc and put it in this box for whatever crazy reason you decided to not carry your ID while you moved.

Anywho. I already don't believe your story that FL can't find a single place you lived or your old info, especially if you have a color copy with all the info on it for them to look it up with.

That's how I took it, too. Who carries their license and ID (thought those were the same thing) around in a box? Lol.

If you are a Veteran a copy of your DD-214 will open some doors for getting a new ID. A DD-214 with a utility bill showing your current name and address should be enough to get the ball rolling. Do you have your Florida Driver's License number? That would also help.

Have u ever been in the system in your state? I have never heard of a state that doesn't renew an I'd with nothing at all on you or at most a utility bill in your name just by pulling it up and retaking the pic and handing it over. Birth cert and two copies from column B is for non residents and first timers

Getting one voter id means a national id, which takes away the power from each state over the voting process. Each state instead should have their own type of voter id, and those states, democrat hell holes, that don't want to stop obvious voter fraud should be seceded from the U.S.

The illegitimate China Joe, Harris and their entire CCP democrat party can become as dictatorial as they want towards other "democrat/communist states."

Hadn't thought of school records.

I'm still hoping that my mom can get my birth records and that is all I will need.
She's just taking her sweet time doing it.
