I respect your right to protect yourself, wear 3 masks and desinfect all your surroundings.
Frankly I don't give a # what you deem appropriate.
I tolerate your lifestyle choice.
I can't say I have much respect for it, but you do you.

Equally I demand you show the same #ing courtesy. My life my decision.
Imagine that some choose not to be afraid.
Suck it up.

They are fighting words and I am so beyond fighting
I don’t even stop and engage anymore, just walk away, just nod my head and agree

Yes, of course I will get the vaccine (not a snowballs chance in hell)
You are getting the vaccine, how wise you are (moron)

You can’t defeat stupidity, you are just going to play Sisyphus over and over.
Good luck on your quest

What is your decision? While I respect everyone and their decisions (most of the time), I cannot support a decision that is not stated.

Side note you might want to edit the profanity.

You defeat stupidity by showing how it is wrong.
I guess you have given up the fight.

Figuring out is half the fun, I wouldn't want to deny you that pleasure.

I like cursing. It's like a word to emphasize my aversion. Fuuuuuuuck

I have no problem with any language, just know there has been mod actions in the past for strong language, and expect that might continue with the new owner.
You are being obtuse with your response, as you have right to do.

No, sometimes you can’t defeat stupid, sometimes you just have to acknowledge that stupid is more powerful than you. Sometimes walking away is stronger than stupid

Or, please, you batter down the gates of ignorance

People need to have the last word about important decisions. Decisions that directly influence their lives.

I think we're already past the 'avoid a totalitarian regime' phase, so it seems appropriate to start talking damage control.
Universal income, pursuit your dream without the threat of total and utter ruin. You underestimate how much people love to feel important.
But it does mean we have to adjust our method.
Nobody in their right mind would try to prevent people getting happier and healthier.
They try to lock us in our houses. Blatantly. No sense of guilt or anything.
Personal freedom, a right to express yourself and learn and grow. And of course.
The pursuit of happyness.

It should be my/yours/ones own decision.

If you acknowledge stupid is more powerful than you, than you lose. Than society looses.
I'm doing my part as a educator to give my students critical thinking skills. Will you not commit to doing the same with those you have opportunity to reach?

Nobody is telling you to be afraid of the virus. It's about minimizing the risk of transmission. But yeah, some people exaggerate their prevention measures.

Your life decision, until you walk through those business doors, then it's their terms and conditions that you follow. If you're not happy, go somewhere else. We can both agree here right?

Right, great.

Imagine that some choose not to be afraid.

Well isn't that quite the jump? I put on a seatbelt not because I'm afraid of driving, but that it's a precaution and a mitigation in the case of a worst-case scenario. Masks are the same. They minimize spread, they mitigate the risk. That's it.

Then I lose, so what, why do I want to have to spend my time fighting morons and as for you being an educator, crap
Cos only morons think everyone wants to be educated

If you really are an educator, focusing on those who want to learn, those who try and care about learning becomes essential

Educator, right

No because if you expose yourself, get infected and then walk around, you are putting at risk other people's health. You have no right to do that.

Why I don't keep them from staying at home and take all measures they want?
If that's what you want.
I think having the right to fullfil a basic human need: personal human contact, is more important than a fight we can't win.
At least not this way.

What a shame that transmission is not at all controlled by either wearing a soggy germladen face rag nor by having the injection, which is basically just a novel drug to maybe reduce symptoms ( if you are one of the very few to even get any).
I feel I have to enlighten those that either don't understand the science behind it or believe the wrong thing behind their decisions.
I am like a Terrier, I won't stop.
Being a sucker is a choice but I don't take advice from one, nor do I want to be discriminated against by those who have no idea what they are talking about.
I do have relevant scientific experience, so I won't listen to my idiot neighbour and just suck it up.
That's not how we got out of caves.
I have very shocking, easy to understand counter arguments they can't win against. They can ignore them, but they WILL hear them. Maybe they will niggle away at them slowly as they hear more and more.
It's accumulative.

You won't stay at home even if potentially infected because rights. But others should stay at home, because they have no rights?

your rights stop where mine begin. Don't tell me I have no right to leave my house, just because you feel obliged to meander around, when everyone else is doing what they can to mitigate spreading this.
