Video presented in court of George Floyd yelling that he ate too many pills

I've been watching the Chauvin trial. Today Chauvin's defense presented body camera footage with audio, where George Floyd is clearly heard yelling to the officers "I ate too many pills".

He likely was having issues getting enough oxygen due to the fentenyl. So he probably had the sensation that he couldn't breathe.

Well since He was saying that he couldn't breathe while he was standing on the sidewalk I would agree.

Imagine have a cop question you about doing illegal # while you on fentanyl, how do you think your pulse would respond?

Just makes it worse for Chauvin..well, I don't think it improves his situation, is probably accurate

so apparently the lead investigator thinks it sounded like Floyd said, "I aint do no drugs"

isn't that similar to... "I ate too many drugs"

My qualifications are the same as every other poster on ATS..so no.

Chauvins superiors already said he did not follow procedure, the 9 mins was not proper..if Floyd directly stated he was going to od, and Chauvin still just did what he did..it doesn't look any better for him, the supervisor, and cheif said the use of force was get him in cuffs and control, and he should of been rolled onto his side..if in distress.

No, this doesn't change much..imo.

Also: what Chauvin did was horrific and wrong. But.

It also was not improper since there is no timeline in the manual on how long the hold can be used since it's not lethal. It can be used an hour. Nobody is dying with that restraint. He overdosed just like the medical examiner stated upfront.

They're showing the pictures from inside George Floyd's car now. There were two empty packets of Suboxone where George was sitting (which can cause respiratory depression as a side effect), and random loose pills.
Awfully coincidental that he seemed to have shouted "I ate too many pills!" right before he died.
