I got a copy of the new audio with Terri Schiavo speaking to her father. It's tough to make anything out beyond the utterances of a struggling soul...but she is clearly not completely unresponsive...

Geneticus, do you know that the source you gave for the video is from one of the same interest groups pushing the “terri” agenda?

Are you familiar with FRC, and what they stand for it? They are the Family Research Council a fundamentalist group that is against civil rights a long as their push radical agendas.

FRC’s objective is to establish a conservative Christian standard of morality in all of America’s domestic and foreign policy.
FRC has dedicated itself to working against reproductive freedom, sex education, equal rights for gays and lesbians and their families, funding of the National Endowment for the Arts and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. FRC supports a school prayer amendment and would like to ‘disestablish’ the Department of Education.

Perhaps you didn’t know from whom you source came but this group would do anything to push their issues even that video about Terri suppousely Miracle taking.

FRC strives to ban all federal or state support for family planning services and overturn the right to an abortion. FRC is a strong supporter of “abstinence-only” education and opposes sex education that addresses contraception.

If my disabled child was laughing, smiling, and uttering sounds...there's not a chance in hell I would let some quack doctor convince me that it is "autonomic reflexes". The arena of life and death is not the place to engage in guess work. It is up to the loving family (and hopefully the law) to protect her life from the quacks and evildoers.

I suggest you start a thread stating your views against the FRC and post a link to it in this thread...if you wish...

An individual's personal views about the FRC should not disuade one from listening to the evidence at hand. I would be most interested in responses to the audio itself, though the personnel involved in the recording, the equipment used, and the date of the recording are also of interest.

Geneticus you brought the issue with this thread you can not stop people from telling you how reliable your sources are.

Very clearly the news has voice the concerns of the doctors that are sure Ms. Terri is in a vegetable state, the propaganda of her "miracles" responses is nothing more than that.

Ms. Terri is a sad story but the big issue is how the family has allowed groups like the FRC to used her for political and hidden agendas gain.

You can listen to the audio for yourself...without being a neurologist...and you should be able to recognize that she is NOT in an unconsious condition...

The neurologists who say that Terri is unconscious are quacks.

There's a big different between "not recovering" and "suffering 24/7". I don't see any evidence that she is suffering in her natural state. On the contrary, denying her nutrition and slowly starving her is creating suffering.

Deny ignorance by listening to the audio and deciding for yourself. Deny ignorance by not accepting the opinion of fallible humans known as doctors and neurologists. Do not deny God by disregarding the importance of miracles. Do not deny her the right to live based on second hand reports. Listen to Terri talk on the audio tape, and then decide whether she deserves to live or not.

The audio sounds perfect, smooth, and unaltered, to me. I cannot see any strange waveform evidence of tampering. If you have an accusation against the authenticity of this audio, then you should be specific and indicate which part of the audio seems like it was faked. Otherwise, we can assume it was not.

I did not hear any giggling, I heard someone in agony or just guttoral sounds.

And it was court appointed doctors who all concur that Terri is in a persistent vegetative state. So you can dismiss any of this bs about it being the husband behind it.

The real BS is saying that she is vegatative...that her sounds are reflexes...that her movements are reflexes...her moaning is reflexes...nothing to do with the fact that she knows she is being starved to death...only reflexes...

The husband would not be able to do what he is trying to do without the support of the quacks. I repeat...Anyone who says that woman is unconscious is a quack. The husband is a quack, but he is also an evildoer, above and beyond mere quackery. There's a special place in hell for those who betray family.

A time stamp to indicate which part of the tape you think is faked would be sufficient, if you have one.

Someone answer this for me. Michael Schiavo cares nothing for Terri. She means absolutely nothing to this man. He has not one iota of concern about Terri's welfare. He has a common law wife and children.

Let's be practical. Forget courts, lawyers, congress, etc. Why would a man like Michael - who now has no love for Terri - has a common law with with children - refuse to divorce her? Why does he want her dead? He could just simply walk away and forget the whole fiasco. Don't tell me she told him that was her wish earlier in their marriage. I don't buy it. It cannot be proven - either way.

Michael was offered one million dollars to step aside. He refused the offer. That should make red flags appear in any reasoning. This man has an agenda. When the ACLU appears in any court proceedings - as it has on behalf of Michael - you know there's an agenda.

I just put Michael Schiavo in the same class as Michael Newdow. Scum.

I posted an article which described the source of the audio...clearly I am confident in the source's credibility.

To clarify: I claim that doctor's lie and sometimes get it wrong; furthermore, the medical industry discourages medical professionals from going out on a limb and making claims against the establish norm.

I wouldn't bet my life or a loved one's life on the estabilshment and standard norms, in this case. I would be looking for signs of life, just like Terri's father and sister. I would err on the side of caution, the side of life having value, and the side of this woman being misdiagnosed as unconscious.
