If you believe in the biblical God you would see the answer is clearly the difference between a short time of what is known here as pleasure (I disagree it is not) and for eternity of wonderous happiness and full never ending life.

I have no earthly idea where Seaworthy found that tidbit but I can say, IMO it just can't be true. The female of each species that humans are one, is just different than us males. I believe that Venus vs Mars comparison people use is a stretch, but it is a good example of how far apart we can be.

A very good post to an eclectic opening statement. People who lose their sex drive over porn are emotional wasted is a good point to understand. Too much of a good thing is bad. Watching others "do it", is just not right.
I do think maybe a right of passage thing for a young man to go to a strip club one time. But I am sure wild women in porno's are not who any of us will marry. Those girls are fake and usually money oriented. I doubt the ones that do that for a living that loves her husband just don't exist.

The other part of Sea's post is a nice discussion on forgiveness of sin and how many won't forgive themselves. That is a real good concept to discuss. We are all only human after all. We all make mistakes. It is only those who repeat them that need a real attitude adjustment.

Anyone who uses porn regularly needs to look up Joe Matt and read his comic book series. Dude #ed his life up royally with porn before internet porn was a thing. That #'s like a drug you don't have to pay for. Orgasming affects the brain the same way as drugs do. Spending all your time looking at porn is like being hooked up to an endless heroin iv drip or something. You'll lose your motivation for doing things or going out, meeting people.

Your sex drive is part of what drives humans to go out, be creative and generally do things. If you're constantly satisfying yourself to porn, you'll lose that drive.

I'm not saying porn is bad or shouldn't exist or anything, but people should be wary about spending too much time with it. It can easily consume you like any other drug.

it can’t be true because... reasons? This is what “science” is folks. Someone gets an idea and has some data to support the idea. A bunch of people are offended by that idea and find a data that support their position.

There is a bigger correlation between rape and religion than there is between rape and porn. The most violent and abusive countries are the ones where women cover their entire bodies in public and porn is forbidden. This makes your entire argument self-defeating.

If you compare latest statistics regarding sexual crimes and christianity in the world, you would also come to some intriguing conclusions.

High population countries with highest sexual crime rate:
South Africa 79.80% christian
United States 71% christian
Mexico 92.40% christian

High population countries with lowest sexual crime rate:
Egypt 10% christian
Japan 2.3% christian
India 2.3% christian

Of course it means nothing. India has low rate because rape in Hinduism punishes the victim so no one in their right mind will report it. Same goes for islamic countries like Egypt, where victims won't report as they fear social rejection. But, Japan? Those perverts? How? Well, maybe porn has the opposite effect?

At any rate, those statistics could be used to show correlation, but does that mean christianity causes sexual violence? No it means that there are other factors that are conveniently ignored by anyone who in his blissful ignorance tries to blame masturbation for all the worlds evil. The real biggest factors in sexual violence and any violence at all are poverty and poor education. Overlay those statistics and you will get a perfect match.

Every reliable source and scientific paper will tell you that the only thing porn has done is reduce the amount of sexual violence. People that commit sexual crimes are the ones who have no other means to release their sexual tension. Japan is the best example of how trying to find relation between the level of perversion and crime rate will lead you nowhere.

There's a bunch of issues with porn industry that are slowly being solved, but creating rapists is definitely not one of them. It's a modern witch hunt made by modern religious fanatics that is equally backward and destructive as prohibition or drug war.

So far the evolution of porn industry brought many positives to sex workers. We see more and more women working independently from their home with their husbands/boyfriends, instead of selling their bodies to shady syndicates and brothels to random people with random diseases.

It's easy to see that a lot of religious people are projecting. It shows their nature. It's scary to think that some people are so full off unfulfilled desire that they think that showing them female genitals will turn them into raging psychopaths.

People have been arguing about the meaning of the word יוֹם , or 'Yôm' which is translated to 'Day' for decades. The thing is it doesn't matter if it's 7 days, 7000 years of 7 billion years. If you follow this logic, then 7 minutes creation becomes equally plausible. An inconceivably complex event was described in a couple of vague sentences - that is the only fact.
