The fact she did something this dumb and shared it with the world, and is hoping the company will pay her for her idiocy... feel bad she learned what gorilla glue spray is the hard way. At least she didn’t spray any other body hair in artistic ways for her sake.

I wish I could Gorilla Glue that cat filter onto the lawyer's face from that video.

In simpler times if your mohawk or rockabilly pomp needed a little extra, you'd just give it a liberal shot of AquaNet and you were good to go. That stuff will turn your hair into concrete.

Here's what Health Ranger had to say about this, and I completely agree:

Now you know why America is too stupid to survive. The Gorilla Glue girl who coated her entire head in glue (and then couldn't figure out why it wouldn't come off) now has 700,000 Instagram followers, a $15k haul on GoFundMe, a manager and a lawyer to sue Gorilla Glue.

Because this is America, and the more stupid you are, the more popular you become. All while the actual smart people are banned and censored everywhere.

You are watching the fall of civilization.

Proof Idiocracy was a documentary.

Honestly I kinda feel bad for the girl. Not the GoFundMe / lawsuit nonsense she's pulling as, IMO, that's all some serious trying to cash in on her own stupidity BS.

But as for the glue thing?

When I was a teenager I had long hair and a girl that I had a massive crush on told me I had some split ends and that I should oil my hair while washing it to repair them.

Being male, and a teenager and not the brightest kid... Her advice came to mind a day or two later as I was preparing to shower - and I decided to try it. Thing is the only product in my bathroom that resembled oil was a jar of Vaseline. In the moment I thought "grease is grease yeah?" and decided to give it a shot. I mean, after all, as a teenage boy the priority was to impress the beautiful girl by taking her advice and fixing those split ends.

About a week later a friend's father used some sort of industrial automotive cleaner to finally get the damn Vaseline out of my hair - as the thousand things I'd tried didn't work.

I spent a week with my hair plastered to my skull. Goes without saying my crush was not amused, impressed or emotionally touched by my attempt at appeasing her. The pointing and laughing clued me in.

So yeah... Strikes me as one of those in the moment / there but for the grace type things.

Guess the silver lining, for me at least, is that I lubed my doo long before the Internet existed so I didn't become national news.

I'll just leave this here.
Was good to hear her talk about this whole thing rather than talking heads and posters who have no clue.

Was she stupid? For sure. Is there a lot of BS being spread about her online and in media? Yes.

I feel bad for her after listening to her.

I agree with you, ...now... I didn't so much last night, but after watching the second video, that made me realize that just because she made a HUGE mistake, she shouldn't have to pay for it, I mean, I can plainly see that she is full of real regret, and, I fully believe that she didn't do this for attention.
AND... My main thing was that she was trying to use GoFundMe to get some money, but, she clearly says that it was for a wig, or, wigs... Now, still, to me, that is not what GoFundMe is for, but that really is between GoFundMe and the people that are willing to give their own money.

STUPID, STUPID, STUPID, for sure, but she feels like and idiot, and she is not being all about, gimme-gimme-gimme, at least, yet.

I will say though, in her first video, I don't remember her saying that she was asking how to remove it, I know that she didn't know, but I don't remember her specifically asking how to.
THAT is why I was not so much on her side, I don't know about the rest of the people.
NOW I do see that she is in a world of hurt, she shouldn't be punished just because she made a HUGE dumb-ass mistake.

I was shocked to learn that she has kids old enough to be using her car though, I 'assumed' that she was in her early 20's.
I am also just as shocked that she KNEW that Gorilla Glue was for gluing things, she had already used it prior on a DIY type project from what she said. That is not smart, but, we are all not the same, I get it.

For me, I hope that this passes for her, that her hair/scalp is not permanently damaged, I think that we can all assume that she will think twice about things in her future.

I posted this because it was stupid, and, funny, and mostly unbelievable. I would not have posted this IF I had seen that second video, I know how life is, it's full of mistakes that we learn from, some are just better at life than others.
I laughed at her in the beginning, but I am not laughing now, although I still feel the same as I did when I posted it when it comes to stupid stuff, but for 'reasons', that changed to almost a pity than funny.

Not that anybody cares, but that is what I feel.

Apparently, the hair product she usually uses, does actually have the word 'glue' printed on the front of the can.

I still think she's extremely stupid, but I'll admit that I now think she's slightly less extremely stupid.

Thank you for that picture, that right there is very telling, and, in a crazy kind of way, I can KIND OF see what she may have been thinking.
I do agree with all that you said too, but if we were all rocket scientists then we'd be really boring and no aliens would every come to visit.

From that second video, she says that there is no lawsuit, that she never said that. I believe that may be correct too, I have no proof, but reading her expressions (and she has a lot!) she appears to have been telling the truth about that.
The future will bring out the truth, if she is really just wanting this to go away and not get lawyers involved or make millions, then we'll see how she reacts to all of this.

I still would like her to STOP the money coming in from GoFundMe, that would tell me immediately that she is doing stuff for the right reasons. She said that she only wanted a wig, that is the reason she has a GoFundMe page, that to me is not reason enough, but, that is not up to me.
Stopping the $$$ coming is would show true character.

Update, this nitwit had a surgeon give her a free glue removal, hopefully she doesn't try to whiten her teeth with Tilex next.

I use that stuff on my 3d printer to keep bed adhesion in a drafty room. Wife had it lying around for cosplay wigs, seems to do the trick on both. Although I did read a comment about the Gorilla Glue girl and how the cosplay folks were taking notes on how to get a wig that won't need messing with again lol.

As for the Gorilla Snot product, I'm fairly certain that's South America only. I'm sure you can import it, but then you would know what you were getting.

Knowing that the warning on hairdryers exists because one idiot thought he could save time by drying in the shower, makes me not feel bad at all for folks like this. When you aren't thinking, and you do something monumentally stupid, the absolute best thing that can happen is that you are ridiculed relentlessly so you NEVER make the same mistake again. If she is rewarded for this, others may follow suit. And that would be bad.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised at who offers what now, she is free advertising as far as the those that would 'help', you know, to steal her thunder.

Personally, for my teeth I use Comet, it brightens AND it, well, that's really all it does.

Here in SoCal, you can get Gorilla Snot at Target, CVS, Walgreens etc.

Not as good as it claims, the generic Dollar Tree stuff works better.

The really sad part is that when you see something like a chain saw with a warning label that reads, "Not Intended For Oral Use" deep inside you know it was because somewhere out there is an idiot who thought a chain saw would be a really great way to get rid of that pesky tartar buildup.

There should be a point, that once crossed, prevents the person from filing suit or holding others accountable for their actions. If you rub yourself with a mixture of meat tenderizer and steak sauce, climb the fence and cross the barrier at the lion cage in the zoo, you should lose the right to blame the lion or the zoo when you get bit. And no, you cant sue A1 for not putting a warning on the label that says, "Caution: May Attract Lions".

"Gorilla Snot" was a joke that started in the 70's that was used typically among motorcycle enthusiasts. It became sort of a catch all phrase for anything that sticks two things together, glue, welding, whatever. I believe someone did try to capitalize on the phrase with a namesake product.

Gorilla Glue, on the other hand, is an industrial adhesive that is every bit as strong as the name implies. You have to be a special kind of stupid to put that on your head.

Ah, I did not know that. It makes sense given that it's Southern California and the demographics there. May take a look when I'm at the store again to see if it's available anywhere around the NC/SC area. I imagine not but stranger things have happened.

My hair gel didn't hold my chair together, the chair came apart. I fell and I hurt myself. Can I sue the hair gel manufacturer since it doesn't say "do not use to glue chairs together "‽
